I. DESKRIPSIYON NG KURSO:

Ang kurso ay isang interdisiplinaryong programa na magbibigay diin sa mga teorya at praktika sa
pagsasaling wika at ang kahalagahan nito sa patuloy na paglinang ng wikang pambansa. Sa huling bahagi
ay bibigyang tuon sa pagsasalin ang programang tinatahak ng mag-aaral.

II. INAASAHANG MATUTUNAN:

Sa pagtatapos ng kurso, inaaasahang matututuhan ng mga mag -aaral ang


mga sumusunod:

1. Mabatid at maunawaan ang iba’t ibang teorya sa pagsasalin-wika.


2. Malaman ang iba’t ibang pagdulog sa pagsasalin.

3. Malinang ang kasanayan sa pagsasalin sa pamamagitan ng mga teoryang kaugnay ng praktika
nito.
4. Makapagsalin ng iba’t ibang anyo ng diskurso/tekto.
5. Mailapat ang iba’t ibang dulog batay sa disiplinang pampag-aaral.

6. Mapaunlad ang kakanyahan hinggil sa pagkasangkapan sa mga diksiyonaryo, tesawro, at iba


pang pintungan ng impormasiyong teknolohiya.
7. Mapahalagahan ang pagsasalin sa pamamagitan ng paglalapat ng angkop na teorya ng pagsasalin
na naaayon sa kurso ng mga mag-aaral.

VII. PATAKARAN SA KLASE: (Ang mga patakarang nakasaad ay hango sa Student Handbook)
1. Pagdalo sa Klase: Inaasahan ang regular na pagdalo sa klase. Responsibilidad ng mga mag-aaral ang
lahat ng takdang aralin at mga anunsiyong ibinibigay sa klase. Inaasahan din na ang lahat ng mag-aaral ay
nasa araw at oras ng mga pagsusulit. Hindi na magkakaloob ng make-up exams and mga pangklaseng
aktibidad. Hindi ito muling ipagkakaloob sapagkat ito ay inanunsiyo maliban na lamang kung may
balidong kadahilanan at ang pagliban ay kinikilala ng pamantasan.

Nararapat na alam ng mga mag-aaral ang wastong paggamit ng pagliban. Hindi na kinakailangan pang
bigyan ng babala ang mga mag-aaral na umabot na sa pinakamataas na bilang ng pagliban.

2. Pag-uugali: Ang bawat mag-aaral ay inaasahang maagang dumadalo sa klase, atentibo, matapat at
magalang. Ang mga elektroning kagamitan tulad ng cellphone at iba pang katulad nito ay inaasahang
nakatago muna. May karapatang kumpiskahin ng instruktor/propesor ang mga kagamitan at maaaring
mabigyan ng karampatang disiplina.

3. Mga Kahingian: Isumite ang lahat ng kahingian sa takdang oras at tiyakin na ito ay nasa kaayusan tulad
ng tamang pagle-label. Ang pagkahuli sa pagsusumite ay tatanggapin subalit may kabawasang 10% sa
bawat araw na hindi pa ito naisusumite.
