LESSONS LEARNED
• Although the terminal infrastructure are
now in place, there are still operational
concerns that must be addressed such as
the presence of barkers and undisciplined
drivers and operators
• Government subsidy for terminal
operations
• Choice of a strategic location of terminals
• Need for professionalization of RTA
17
FUTURE DIRECTIONS
To enhance the successes thus achieved,
Cagayan de Oro needs to:
• To develop a clear integrated plan for the
city which would include transport
infrastructure as well as soft mobility
measures
• Continue the strong political will of the
government
• to pursue programs geared towards
promoting EST 18
FUTURE DIRECTIONS
• Elicit strong support from the civil society
and private sector for the programs in
place
• Training of manpower to strengthen
capability
