In both the picture two Standards are being connected by overlapping two pipes of minimum 600mm

and by using two clamps.

1. Is this a right practice?

2. Whether we should demand for use of Joint Pin instead of such overlapping for connecting pipes
vertically? What is the issue in doing such overlapping?
3. In using Joint Pin, if not maintain the verticality of scaffolding on plumb level, tension load may
come on the joint pin leading to scaffold collapse or not? Please explain?

4. Please let me know the specification for buying Joint Pins.
