The images show the recycling process of aluminum cans, starting first with the collection of the
waste by the people, followed by cleaning, sorting, shredding and finally compressing the
aluminum by specialized machines, so that aluminum blocks are obtained to be used again as
raw material. These blocks are then taken to a furnace where the material is melted and
separated from any impurities. When it comes out of the furnace it is left to solidify at room
temperature. Now we proceed to roll the aluminum coming out of the oven to improve its
mechanical characteristics such as hardness, in sheets from 2. 5 to 6 mm thick, and from there
they go to the industries as raw material to be used in canning, mainly food and beverages.
Finally, they pass to the consumers in the stores.
