Previous Freeze: LuvKush have thrown stone engraved with Shri Ram into the water testing to
see if it floats…
Scene 2/Luv, Kush, Dheera, Kids/Day/Ext/Bridge

panoramic shot of a beautiful river where a bridge connects its two sides…The flowing water is crystal
clear… Shrubs and bushes of multi-coloured flowers bloom everywhere. We see LuvKush, Dheera and
the others emerging from the forest and walking towards the bridge. They walk in silence for a bit as
the mood is sobre…finally Luv speaks up –

Luv: maa bahut sheeghra sabka vishwaas kar leti hain .. unhone maan kaise liya ki shri ram
naam likhne se pathhar bhi tairne lagte hai ...

Kush :-- jo jitna gyani hota hai voh utna hi bhola bhi hota hai na luv bhaiya

Luv :-- haa .. parantu mai yeh soch raha hoo ki jab uhe gyaat hoga ki shree raam likhne par bhi
patthar paani me nahi taire .. toh unke mann ko kitni thes pahuchegi

Kush: haan bhaiya .... mujhe smaran nahi ki aaj tak unki kahi koi baat asatya sidhh hui ho ..
aise mein unhe iss Vishay me pta laga toh unka vishwaas toot jayega

Dheera: voh toh tab hoga na jab hum unhe iss vihay me batayenge

Kush :-- vaise dheera kah toh theek raha hai

Luv appalled says

Luv: kya??? Toh kya hum maa se jhooth bolne ka paap kaenge

Kush suddenly sparks up and says –

Kush: bhiya jhooth bolna pap hai .. par kisi ko satya na batana paap hai aisa kaheen kisi Shastra
me nahi likha …. hum iss Vishay mein ma se baat hi nahi kareinge....?? kyu dheera

Luv : Satya chhipana bhi jhoonth bolne jaisa hi paap hai kush !!

Kush:...maharishi Valmiki ne ek shlok kaha tha na . SATYAM BROOYAAT .. PRIYAM

BROYYAT .. ARTHAAT SATYA KAHO PAR PRIYA SATYA KAHO . apriya lagne wala
satya mat kaho .. yahi dharm hai .. EK CHOTA SATYA bata kar hum mata ke vishwaas ko
todne ka mahapaap nahi kar sakte na . Yadi shri ram par unki aastha hai ..toh usse bhang kyun
karna...

Luv is quiet…

Kush: toh yahi nishchit raha ...hum maa se iss sandarbh mein kuch nahi kahenge .. haah .. (
gahri saans )...dhanywaad dheera...tumhara sujhaav sahi mein ati utaam hai mitra!!

and suddenly Dheera shakes up violently…. as if he has been electrocuted. Luv alarmed says –

Luv: Dheera!!kya hua??

Dheera now normal says–

Dheera: ek vichitra sa aabhaas hua...jaise koi sankat aane wala hai ...

And we see in the foreground the rope that is holding the bridge together. And one of its thread splits
apart and comes loose.

Luv: maa sada kehti hai ki vaaron ki chathi indri unhe aane wale sankat ka poorvabhaas kara
deti hai .. kuchh toh hai
and suddenly Kush spots something and we see his expressions change…says

kush: bhaiya .. vaise main koi vanar nahi hoon kintu mujeh bhi sankat spasht dikh raha hai ...!!
(Kush points in the distance and says) akhetak Devtar!! Voh laut aaya hai !!

everyone looks in the direction kush is pointing at… from their pov we reveal Devtar and his band of
shikhar is now dressed in soldier outfits holding spears and polished weapons and marching in line
towards the ashram. They are followed by wagons loaded with boxes. Dheera gets scared at the visual
and jumps to hide behind Luv. Luv says ‘

luv: dheera ma ne tumhe kya naam diya hai?

Dheera steps out of his hiding place slowly and mutters–

Dheera: Dheera!! Dheeraj rakhne wala .. sankat me sahas na khone wala

Cut to
Scene 3/ Luv, Kush, Valmiki, Sita, Dherra, Devtar, Kids, Others/Day/Ext/Ashram
sharp cut to luv and kush along with the rest are standing in front of devtar and company…Luv
says(tone is not angry but surprised) – ‘

Luv: toh yeh hai Shri Ram ka nyaay ?? yeh dand diya hai unhone inn kroor apraadhiyon ko...
jinhone bann ujada unhe karagaar me dalne ke sthaan par vann me swatantra chod diya

Kush: dand nahi .. puraskaar mila hai inhe bhaiya . dekho toh . inke puraane shastron ke
sathaan par ayodhya ke sena ka Shastra hain .. vastra bhi sainikon wale hain . ..ab toh yeh
keval pashuon ka hi nahi ...hum manushyon ka bhi shikar kar sakte hai ...

( ISSI BEECH MAHARSHI VALMI KI AA GAYE HAIN LUV SAYS )

Luv: ( mumbles ) pehle maa ki baat asatya siddha hui . ab maharshi ki .. ( looks at maharshi )
AAP NE TOH KAHA THA KI JAISE adbhud shriraam hain vaisa hi adbhud unka nyaay hoga
.. yeh kaisa nyay hai maharishi?

Kush :-- apraadhi ko dand ke sthaan par puraskaar

Valmiki and sita exchange a smile…valmiki says –

Valmiki: ab nyaay kaisa hai ..dand hai ya puraskaar .. usski vyakhshya toh vahi kar sakte hain
jinhone voh nyaay bhoga ho .. kyu na issi aakhetak se pooch loh

Kush angrily say

Kush: mujhe is jeev hatyaare se koi baat nahi karni...

Sita: itna krodh ek bina mooth wali talwaar pkadne ke samaan hota hai kush .. shatru se pehle
vyakti swayam ghayal ho jata hai ..

Yaha Devtar apne ghutno par ajata hai and says –

Devtar: nahi vandevi… karne deejiye inhe krodh .. mere karmo ka prarbdha yahi toh hai ..sara
jeewan paap karte rahe .. pichhle janm ke kuchh munya shesh rahe honge ki in kumaaron se
saamna hua .. jisske karan Shri Ram ke darshan ho gaye....anyatha aisa adbhud nyaay nahi dekh
pata ..nyaay karne wala kewal dosho ko dekhta hai . parantu shree raam ne na kewal hmare
gunon ko dekha .. balki unhe bahar aane ka avsar bhi diya .. koi aur yadi mera nyaay karta toh
mere mann ka rakshasa aur ugra ho jata .. parantu sree raam ne .hume manav bana diya .

Luv Kush taken aback ask –

Luv kush: arthat...??aisa kya kiya shree raam ne

Ram’s council. Devtar and other shikharis are standing in front of ram. Ram says

Ram: tumhaare apraadh maine sune .. ab samay aa gaya dand ka . kintu uss se poorva main
tumse kshama mangta hoon...(and saying this he folds his hands and says) Ayodhya naresh ki
kshama sweekar karo akhetak devtar...

devtar is shocked…so is everyone…says –

Devtar: nahi nahi Maharaj!! Bahut bade paap hue hain mujhse .. ab aap kshama mang kar un
paapon ka bhar aur na badhaaiye .

Ram: iss sansar mein janma pratyek prani sneh..karuna aur sahanubooti ka adhikaar rakhta
hai .. .kadachit tumhe yeh karuna apne jeewan me kabhi nahi mili .. kabhi kisi ne tumhe uchit
marg dikhaya nahi .. aur ayodhya ka raja hone ke naate yadi meri praja se uddka adhikaar
china hai toh uttar dayi mai hoo .. .. tumhaare hriday mein bhare kroorta ke andhkaar ka main
bhi uttardayi hoon..ki mai apni prajajan ko na manviya bhav de paya . na hi naitik aalamb ..
.isliye apradhi keval tum nahi ho...main bhi hoon...dand keval tumhe hi nahi mujhe bhi milna
chahiye...kshama yachna keval tum hi nahi...main bhi karunga...

devtar: nahi aharaj..

Ram: parantu karagaar me daane ya mrityudand dene se ..tumhra ant avashya jo jaayega.. par
tumhare papon ka nahi .. andhkaar ko andhkaar se nahi mitaya jaa sakta . usske liye prakaash
ka aana aavshyak hai .. tumhari kroorta ka nyaay tum par kroorta dikhane se nahi hoga .. .isliye
tumhaara dand yeh hai ki jis van ko tumne ujada .. ab usska sanrakshan tum karoge .. jin vanya
pashuon ke bhakshak the . unke rakshak banoge . tumhe virasat me krodh aur kroorta mili
tumne sansaar me vahee banti . mai ab tumhe karuna aur vishwaas deta hoo .. aaj se tum uss van
ke patte patte ko vahi karuna aur vishwaas bantoge .. ..inhe mukt kar diya jaaye!! Aur
lakshman yeh apna dand theek se bhugte .. yeh sunishchit tum karoge

Devtaris overwhelmed…shikaris hands are freed. all fall on their knees right where they are
standing…tears start streaming down their eyes…joining their hands in veneration of the great king
they chant

Chorus: jai shri ram… jai shri ram…!!

Scene 3 cont.
Cut back to ashram….all together say –

Chorus: jai shri ram…jai shri ram…!!

luv kush looked visibly moved with ram’s judgement…Devtar is still weeping…flooded with
emotions…says

Devtar: suna th ki nyaay papi ka ant kar deta hai .. par aaj dekha ki paap ka ant karne wala
nyaayi bhi ho sakta hai .. Shri Ram ne apni daya ke sagar mein humein aisa bhigoya.ki mann ka
mail mit gaya .. laga jaisa aaj humaara naya janm hua ho ....!!

Sita too is teary eyed… Sita turns to Devtar and says –

Sita: ab se .. apne jeewan ke har pal iss van ka rakshan karne ke liye devtar sajja hai

Devtar unko pranam karta hai..and all the shikaris take their leave…Valmiki looks at luv kush and asks
them-

Valmiki: ab bataao luv kush .. ab kya tippani hai shree raam ke nyaay ke Vishay mein
luv : yhi ki aapne theek kaha tha . nyaay karne ke liye nyaay ki drishti ke saath saath . karuna
ka drishtikon bhi aavshyak hai .. ki shreem adbhud hain

kush: aur adbhud hai unka nyaay

sita is watching their expresions…there is something reserved about them…Rishi now says to
LuvKush –

Rishi: ab samjhe . ko kalikh me bhi chamakte swarna ko deh sake voh drishti hai shree ram ..
jo vish ko amrit me badal sake voh bhaav hai shree raam .. jo patthar ko ratna bna de voh paras
hai shree raam .. .unhi shree ram ka maan na hai ke doshiyon ko dand dekar hi nyaay poora
nahi hota .. nyaay poora karne ke liye. pratibhaashaliyon ko puruskrit karna bhi aavshyak hai
issi karan unhone tum dono ke liye uphaar bheje hai ...

Both LuvKush share an intrigued look exchange. Valmiki continues –

Valmiki: aakhetak devtar ke aatank samapt krne wale do shoorveer balko ke samman me .
shree raam ne rajkiya bhoj yaha aakram me bhijwaya hai .. aur raja ki bhent ko sweekarne me
vilmb radha ka apmaan hota hai .. ? chlo . aashram ke sabhi sadasyon ke mahabhoj ki taiyariya
karni hain

Rishi:ayodhya naresh shri ram Chandra ki…

Chorus: jai!!!

Luv Kush also say jai

Luv kush : jai !!

but only with a look exchange and their fists don’t pump so high in the air…its more like karna hai toh
kar dete hain types…Sita is observing them… Cut.

i/c we see the pots being fired…food starts getting cooked in large quantities...ashram dwellers are all
gathering…

Scene 4/Luv, Kush, Sita/Day/Ext/Ashram

Scene starts with Luv Kush listlessly polishing earthen pots and putting them out in the sun to
dry…Dheera is jumping around them like a monkey narrating the whole menu to them…
kya kya bana hai sab bata raha hai…but nothing is enticing the brother’s interest…

Dheera: pata hai...kya kya bana hai ...daal bhaat..RAAJ BHOG .. ri toh mishthanna hi hain .
kuch vyanjan toh aise hai jinka naam maine pehle kabhi suna hi nahi hai ....samajh nahi aata
hum sab kya kyu baithe hain .. .mere toh muh mein itna paani aa raha hai ki ab aur vilamb kiya
toh issi paani ka sagar ban jayega aur tumhara mitra usmein doob jayega !!

Kush: toh tum jao na dheera .. ..hum toh maa ke karan se nahi ja rahe hai...

and just then booms sita’s voice…

Sita:aur maa ne kab tumhe jaane se roka ??

dono bhai sakhte mein aate hain

Luv: aisi baat nahi ma.. bass mera kuch vishesh man nahi hai ......

Sita finds this very intriguing.

i/cDheera says in a cute complaining tone-

dheera: dekho na maa .... mere pet mein daudte choohe inhe bhale na dihein . par main uchhal
raha hoon yeh dekh kar bhi yeh dono hilne ke liye sajj hi nahi hai …

Sita: tum chinta mat karo Dheera... tum jaao ..main inhe lekar aati hoon...

dheera: hmm yeh achcha hai .. mai chakh leta hoo phir luv kush ko bataaoonga ki kya khana hai

and leaves…Sita unke paas aati hai

Sita: luv ko kabhi swadisht bhojan me ruche nahi rahi .. issliye usski baat samajh aati hai .
kintu Tumhe achaak kya ho gaya hai kush?? naye naye prakar ke vyanjanon mein ruchi kya
lupt ho gayi .

Kush: nahi maa...aisi koi vishesh baat nahi hai ..bas aaj mann nahi hai ...

and they both continue to paint. A beat where sita observes the two. And then she says

Sita: mann tabhi atak jata hai jab mann me koi baat khatak rahi ho .. kya chipa rahe ho
mujhse??

both boys stop painting suddenly…alarmed…sita says

Sita: bolo tumne dheera se kaha ki mere karan vaha nahi jaa rahe ho .. kyu ??

Kush :-- ( stammers-) nahi maa.. aisi koi baat nahi . voh toh dheera ko bahlaane ke liye

sita: Luv.. tum bataao

Kush: nahi bhai..

Sita :-- luv meri baat nahi sunoge

Kush :-- nahi bhai .. voh baat maa ko
- luv but luv ends up blurting-

Luv: maa devtarke saath hua Shrii ram ka nyaay prashansneey hai ..kintu

Sita: kintu?? Kya

Kush still trying to dissuade but luv ends up saying-

Luv: kintu ..jo aap ko samajhti hai satya voh nahi hai

( built ki lu ke sir se bahut bada bhar utar gaya )

Sita: sun rahi hoon.. vistaar se samjhao mujhe ki satya kya hai ...

luv: ( to kush ) . kush ...tum toh jante hi ho main maa se satya nahi chipa sakta..( looks at sita )
.maa humne shri ram ka naam likh kar pathhar paani mein phainka...kintu voh taira nahi..doob
gaya...

kush is concerned how sita will react …but Sita does not react. She is very calm …says

Sita: toh ismein chipane waali kaun si baat thi??

Kush: voh maa..hum nahi chahte the ki aapki aastha aur vishwas ko humaare iss anubhav ke
karan ko thes pahunche...

Sita: prashn meri nahi . tumhari aastha ka hai . tumne ne shre raam naam poori astha se likha
tha?
Kush: .poore aadar ke saath likha tha...maine ram likha tha...aur kuv bhaiyya ne Shri bhi
lagaya tha...unke naam ke aage...aadar se

Sita smiles and says

Sita: Aadar aur aastha mein bahut antar hota hai kush...aadar hum har bade ka karte hain . par
aastha kisi kisi me hi ho paati hai .. maine tumse kaha tha unka naam poori aastha se likhoge toh
pathhar bhi tairega...aastha se likha tha

Both the boys go silent. Sita says

Sita: tumhara uttar mil gaya mujhe .. aur main ab bhi apni baat par atal hoon..yadi tumne
aastha se unka naam likha hota...toh pathhar avshya tairta...

kush: aapka atal vishwaas dekh kar aashcharya hota hai maa .. .. par mai issi bat se prasann
hoon ki humaare anubhav se aapki aastha aahat nahi hui..ab yeh baat samapt karein bhai . bhoj
me chalet hain . .. mere bhi pet me kuchh uthal puthal ho rahi hai

sta ;-- * smiles ) tumhe bhi kuchh kahna hai luv

luv: bass itna hi maa .. ki aap bahut bholi hai

and both brothers leave…Sita ka unko jate hue dekh VO ata hai
Sita vo: kab voh samay aayega aarya . jab aapke putron ko aapki astha ki Shakti ka gyaan hoga

Sita looks on. Cut.

Scene 5/Luv, Kush, Sita, Valmiki, Dheera, Cook, Others/Day/Ext/Ashram

LuvKush and Dheera come out of the ashram and start walking towards the bridge to cross the river to
the other side…and they see dheera is waiting…kush says

Kush: areyy dheera...tum ab tak yahin ho..gaye nahi!!??

dheera: dheera ka arth hai . sada dheeraj rakhne wala . luv kush ka saath na chodne wala . bhoja ki
laalsa thi…par itna lalach nahi ki tumhe akela chhod doon

luv kush flash a smile…a small warm moment between the three and kush says

Kush: par bhojan ki Sugandh se mere mann me jo lalach aa raha hai . mai kisi ko bhi chod kar jaa
sakta hoo

Bhagne lagta hai . baki dono usske peeche bhagte hain . ki Suddenly they see a huge blast of fire from
the cooking area. Dheera shocked –

Dheera: yeh visphot

Kush: bhai swar toh bhojan shala ki or se aa raha hai . kahi eenghan ne agni toh nahi pakad lee

Pov shot of boys where they can see fire in the cooking area. Sharp cut to close up of fire.…dhoo
dhookarkeaagjhulasrahihai. LuvKushbhagke ate haiyahaaur fire se logo ko rescue karnelagtehain.
Tezhawachalrahihai…Sab jagah log aagbujhanekikoshishkarrahehai, pots meinpanibhar kea ag par
phekajaarahahai. Ashram kebacche ,buddhesabhi mil karkaamkarrahehai, ayodhyake cooks bhi hath
batarahehain.. Sitacomes rushing from the ashram along with valmiki and they see the fire across the
bridge and how LuvKush are helping people cross over the bridge ot safety. Aagjhapte mar rahehai.
Valmiki shouts from other side –

Valmiki: luv kush yeh sthan turant khaali karvana hoga...vayu ki teevra gati ke kara agni bhi
teevra gati se phail rahi hai ...

Luv:chinta na karein maharishi..humaare hote hue kisi ko koi kshati nahi pahunchegi...
in quick cut visuals we show LuvKush helping people cross the bridge. Lifting disabled and tired
persons. Carrying young children, calves and goats. Helping older slower people across the bridge.
Dheera and the other friends are also helping people get across. First lot of people clears the bridge
and as the second lot is crossing across the bridge when suddenly a load bearing rope snaps into two,
which sets off a chain reaction and the midsection of the bridge collapses into the water!!! Build up….!
2 men and a woman get caught in the collapse and hang on at the edge of the bridge with the raging
river below them. Sita sees the bridge collapse and how her boys and a lot many others stuck on the
other side. But she hears screams of people hanging on the bridge…runs to the edge and sees the
woman holding on to the broken bridge for her life…. screaming in panic.

Lady: raksha karo . raksha karo

Sita looks at her and says-

Sita: meri baat dhyan se suno...tumhe kuch nahi hoga...suna tumne..kuch nahi hoga tumhe!!

Right then Valmiki throws a vine at sita who throws it down to those hanging…all latch on to the vine
and slowly Sita with combined efforts of the rest pulls everyone up…

And we see LuvKush, Dheera and the kids stuck with raging fire all around them…

kush :-- hum charo or se agni se ghir gaye hain bhai

Luv :-- lakdi ki nauka bana kar nadi ko paar karna hoga.

Kush and the kids join him and they collect logs and tie vines to it and make a make do raft. Fire is
raging all around them. LuvKush launch it in the river but with just one swell of the wave it topples
over and breaks. Tension mounts on the stuck kids. Kids try to throw wooden planks into the river. But
the planks also can’t bear any weight so they end up toppling over or breaking away with the force of
the river.

Luv :-- kya karein kush .. nadi ka veg teevra hai

Kush :-- aur agni bhi teevra hoti jaa rahi hai .. kuchh karna hoga
Luv :- par kya
Sita is about to rush to help them...maybe jump into the river…but she stops in her tracks
suddenly…her vo

Sita: v/o nahi .. mai aage nahi jaa sakti .. inhe sangharsh ki agni se bachaya .. toh kabhi apne pit ki
bhanti kundan nahi ban paayenge .. maa pankh deti hai .. udne ka sahas santaan ko swayam karna
hoga .. vayu se ladkar marg banana swayam seekhna hoga .. ab mai marg bataoongi nahi . inhe
swaya marg banana hoga

idhar Kush says

Kush: kya karein bhaiya ?? koi maarg hi nahi dikh raha hai!!

And now luv looks towards his mother who is standing on the other side at the edge of the river…the
moment luv turns to her, sita too turns to look towards luv…build up the look exchange between
mother and son…its as If none of the mayhem in the background matters...its just the two of them…Sita
looks at a big patthar and Luv follows her eye and he also sees the patthar. Luv remembers sits ka VO
– ‘astha se likhahota to pattharzarurtairta’

kush ;- bhaiya .. ki marg hai

luv :-- hai . aastha ka marg
and now luv turns to a huge stone in slow motion…he looks at kush both have a look exchange and
Kush understands what Luv means. They have an unspoken agreement. Kush and luv together walk up
to a huge rock…and both dip their fingers in the geelimitti…kush writes shri and luv writes ram…from
here the chaupai starts…over nice crescendo music of arti we build the whole sequence from here on…
The brothers pick up the stone, close their eyes and join the chorus of Jai Shri Ram.
Chorus: Jai Shri Ram... Jai Shri Ram...!!

They throw the stone in the water. The kids fold their hands their eyes are still shut. The entire
atmosphere is filled with chants of Jai Shri Ram.

Chants: Jai Shri Ram...!! Jai Shri Ram...!!

Ram is walking in a corridor. Suddenly winds pick up, curtains start flying. He feels a surreal pull
emanating from the wind. His ears resonate with his name being called.

“We stay on the shut eyes of LuvKush as the chaupai plays in the bgm…. They slowly open their eyes
and from their pov we see the stone is floating in the water. “
Luv :-- mata kabhi galat nahi hoti kush .. yeh hai aastha ki Shakti
LuvKush now in unison shout –

Luv kush : Jai Shri Ram...!! Jai Shri Ram...!!

and in montage we see all the kids writing shri ram on different stones… start throwing them in the
water. Asman se devi devta dekh rahe hai. Sita and Valmiki are also watching in awe and still
chanting.

Sita and Valmiki : Jai Shri Ram...!! Jai Shri Ram...!!

And all the stones start floating and making a bridge. Luv Kush take the boy and mother from the
introduction episode and put them across first. The soon they cross Luv Kush get into action and the
make everyone cross the bridge. We see how both the boys are hanging back and making sure each
person is safely across the river. We build up their concern for others over their own lives, their
selflessness and their altruism. And once everyone is across, LuvKush are the last to cross back to
safety.

Scene 6/Sita, Luv, Kush/Day/Ext/Riverbank

Sita is standing amidst all the other ashram people, sab safe aur unhurt hai. LuvKush touch sita’s feet.
They come up and look at her. They are devoid of their usual humour and mischief. They are in a very
sober mode.

Kush: maa...aaj humne nyaay ki drishti bhi jaani ..

Luv :-- aur aastha ki Shakti bhi ..

Kush :-- jisse kalpna samjha . aastha se usse satya siddha hote dekha

Luv : maa jinka naam me itni shkti hai ki paani par patthar tair gaya .. un shree raam ke
astitva ki gatha toh aur bhi mahaan hogi..
Kush ;-- hume sree raam ke Vishay me aur jaan na hai maa

Sita ki ankho mein asu ate hai. she hugs both of them and says –

Sita: avashya .. Main tumhe Shri Ram ke Vishay mei sab kuch bataungi...sab kuch...!!
