Features Description
The features introduced in System Release 16.0.1 features are as follows:
UL MU-MIMO support
This release introduces the MU-MIMO feature for the PMP 450m AP in the UL direction, for
transmissions of UL ACKs and data. This feature applies not only to the new 3 GHz PMP 450m AP,
but also to the 5 GHz PMP 450m AP.
Note:
To use this feature, both SMs and the 450m AP must be upgraded to 16.0 or later. If SMs are left on an older
release, UL traffic will continue to be scheduled SU-MIMO.
LTE supports two frame lengths, 5 ms and 10 ms. Each 10 ms interval contains 10 subframes, which
are labeled in the Table as D for downlink transmission, U for uplink transmission, and S for special
subframe. The special subframe contains the turnaround time between downlink and uplink
transmissions.
Note:
In 16.0.1, 3 GHz PMP products support Co-Location to frame configurations 0, 1, and 2 in the above table.
PMP 450m AP MUMIMO-3286 Added limited license support (Trial Mode) for UL-MUMIMO
in the 450m limited product.
PMP 450m AP MUMIMO-3167 The QoS data channel levels (i.e. LP, MP, HP, UHP), that can
be MU-MIMO scheduled is now configurable in 16.0. In prior
releases, this was fixed with LP and MP being MU-MIMO
scheduled, and HP and UHP being SU-MIMO scheduled.
3 GHz 450i/450m/450 MUMIMO-3376 To bring the PMP line into compliance with the most recent
regulatory requirements for Australia, 40 MHz support has
been removed for Oceania/Austrialia region/country. Any
Australia customers currently using 40 MHz should be aware
of this regulatory restriction for 16.0 prior to considering any
upgrades.
NOTE: It is not recommended to change the default setting,
except for specific deployments (e.g. video serveillance for
traffic using DSCP 40).
All CPY-15259 Added more countries in the country list under Europe.
3 GHz 450m MUMIMO-3364 Enables single LUID beamform boost on 3 GHz (up to 52
dBm of boost).
450/450i/450b SM’s CPY-11394 16.0/16.0.0.1 introduce three new attributes to the AAA
Radius Dictionary. See the Multiple port VID and MAC address
Mappings section later in this document for more details.

Network Management
Wireless Manager v4.5.6 may be used to manage Cambium PMP networks, including managing
the RADIUS features. For additional information, see the Wireless Manager website at:
http://www.cambiumnetworks.com/products/management-tools/wireless-manager
Other VSA's can be used interchangeable, there is no order but it has to be in pair.
In free RADIUS server, these VSAs can be configured in the following way:
Cambium-Canopy-PortMap-Priority=3,
Cambium-Canopy-PortMap-VLANID+=77,
Cambium-Canopy-PortMap-MacAddr+="D4-81-D7-D3-50-FA",
In the GUI, when VSA is applied it can viewed in the Configuration > VLAN > Active Configuration
page.
Note:
For customers using the port VID and MAC address mappings, it is advised that both AP and SM should be
running 16.0.0.1. Additionally, if RADIUS is enabled, please configure Bandwidth Configuration Source to
'Authentication+SM'.
cnMaestro
cnMaestro may also be used to manage Cambium devices. cnMaestro version 1.6.3 is compatible
with existing hardware as well as the new 3 GHz 450m for existing functionality. However, the
newer cnMaestro 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 versions provide additional support – including cnMaestro
support for “Link Test with Multiple LUIDs” in both the UL and DL direction. This allows a user to
test MU-MIMO via link test from cnMaestro. See the cnMaestro release notes for more information.
For more information, please refer www.cambiumnetworks.com/products/software-tools/cnmaestro.
Canopy MIB
The Cambium Enterprise MIB (Management Information Base) consists of 7 MIB definition files
and supports SNMP access to Canopy modules. The MIB files are available for download from:
https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/pmp450/
MIB files are used by Network Management Systems and Element Management Systems, such as
the Wireless Manager system to support a host of surveillance, monitoring, control, and
operational tasks.
If you are using an SNMP network management system (NMS) or element management system
(EMS) other than Wireless Manager: Load the MIBs per the instructions for your NMS or EMS.
Note:
When loading the MIB files:
l First, load the standard MIB files
l Then, load the Radio-specific MIB files
Some NMSs are not sensitive to order, but some require a specific loading order to build a MIB
tree. Loading in the recommended order avoids these issues.

this fix, SM software would leave the SM in a state where it would
struggle to lock onto the beacon and re-register.
All SM CPY-15460 A device agent fix for occasional issues with MPU violations seen on
SM’s (which would cause them to briefly reboot then register).
All SM CPY-15468 Fixes an issue where SM-initiated link test would occasionally show a
0 Mbit DL result.

be patient and not navigate away from the page before collection has
finished.
All SM CPY-15643 SM does not drop session during re-authentication, when the RADIUS
user profile is deleted.
PMP 100* CPY-15246 A PMP 100 remote AP will not sync properly if the source device is
running builds newer than 15.1.5. A fix will be provided in a future
release to allow the user to select the remote AP type (PMP 100 or
OTHER). But in the meantime, the Cambium suggested workaround
is to downgrade the source device feeding the remote AP to 15.1.5 or
earlier software.
(*The issue only impacts the ability of PMP 100 remote AP’s to sync
properly. However, the future fix will be coded into OFDM PMP radios
supplying the sync, not into the PMP 100 radio itself.
