I. SITUATION OVERVIEW

A total of 719 volcanic earthquakes were plotted in Taal region as of 21 January
2020, 7:00 AM. Of which, 176 were felt, ranging from Magnitude 1.2 - 4.1 and Intensity

+ A total 68,439 families / 271,278 persons were affected in the Provinces of
Batangas, Quezon, Laguna, and Cavite.
* Of which, a total of 38,906 families / 148,514 persons are taking temporary shelter
in 497 evacuation centers while 22,217 families / 87,141 persons are served
outside ECs.
* The LGUs of Alitagtag, Balayan, Batangas City, Bauan, Calatagan, Ibaan, Lian, Lipa
City, Lobo, Malvar, Nasugbu, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis,
San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Sto. Tomas, Taysan, and Tuy in Batangas; Alfonso,
Amadeo, Dasmarifias, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Maragondon, Mendez
(Mendez- Nufiez), Naic, Silang, Tagaytay City, and Ternate in Cavite; Cabuyao, City
of Calamba, Cavinti, Kalayaan, Nagcarlan, San Pablo City, Santa Cruz, and City of

2. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)
a. Conducted Orientation on Camp Coordination and Camp Management to FO
Staff for deployment to 18 LGUs with Evacuation Centers.
5)b. DRMB submitted Draft Resolution for Inclusion of Potable Drinking Water as
one of the Relief Items of DSWD.
c. Deployed 4 Staff to assist in the distribution of relief goods in San Juan, San
Luis, and Lian in Batangas, and Bay in Laguna.
d. DRMB submitted Draft Resolution for the Operationalization and Adaption of
the Emergency Cash Transfer Program of DSWD. Deliberation and approval
will be conducted in the NDRRMC Full Council Meeting on 21 January 2020.
e. Facilitated the delivery of 5,000 FFPs by NROC to PSWDO Quezon.
f. Facilitated the delivery of 2,000 FFPs to the Operations Center of LGU Taal in
Alitagtag, Batangas.
g. Facilitated the allocation of relief assistance to LGUs based on their requests
and needs.
h. Coordinated with the member agencies of Response Cluster for logistic
requirements.
i. Requested Batangas Police Provincial Office for the provision of security
personnel during cash assistance pay-out.
3. Department of Health (DOH)
a. Installed 6 DOH LED TV in the following evacuation centers of Sto. Tomas,
Batangas:

b. Deployed Mariveles Mental and Wellness General Hospital (MMWGH) Mental
Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Team to Brgy. Maniaga, Mabini,
with the Batangas PNP Service.
c. Conducted expressive arts activities to 38 children (20 boys and 18 girls).
d. Conducted Psychosocial Processing to 27 adults.
e. Conducted Psychosocial Processing to 73 persons (30 adults and 43
children) in Bolbok, Batangas City.
f. Conducted Psychosocial Processing to 68 persons (28 adults and 40
children) in Batangas Sports Complex Evacuation Center.
g. Provided psychotropic drugs.
h. Referred health cases to appropriate health facilities.
4.Philippine National Police (PNP)
a. PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) provided assistance in the distribution
of relief goods from Iglesia Ni Cristo to the victims of the Taal Volcano
eruption at the Banaba Gymnasium, Padre Garcia, Batangas.
b. NHQ Headquarters Support Service (HSS) established Police Assistance
Desk (PAD) at Alfonso Central School, Brgy. Pob 2, Alfonso, Cavite to
provide security and assistance to the evacuees from Taal, Laurel and
Agoncillo, Batangas amidst Taal Volcano eruption.
c. PRO Il Contingent Relief Operation composed of 9 PNP personnel together
with the employees of Solaire arrived in the Municipality of Maragondon,
Cavite and distributed relief goods to the victims of Taal Volcano eruption.
d. Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management
(DICTM) team provided assistance to the DSWD Social Workers in the
profiling of evacuees with the assistance of room leaders.National Headquarters Reactionary Standby Support Force (NHQ RSSF)
a, Provided assistance to Laurel MSWD in the distribution of relief goods to
Laurel evacuees in GMA, Cavite.
b. Crime Laboratory (CL) RSSF provided assistance in unloading of donations
and relief goods from private sectors at Timbugan Elementary and National
High School, Rosario, Batangas. Likewise, Maritime Group (MG) RSSF
members together with Taal MPS assisted in the unloading of relief goods at
Taal Municipal Hall, Taal, Batangas.
c. Information Technology Management Service (ITMS) RSSF_ provided
assistance in distribution of relief goods from Top Jun Dealer of Pasay City
together DepEd Calaca District Supervisor.
d. Civil Security Group (CSG) RSSF volunteers and IMPS personnel provided
assistance in unloading of relief goods at Indang Central Elementary School
Evacuation Center.
Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR)
Conducted inspection at the different evacuation centers.
B. Regional/Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (R/LDRRMCs)
RDRRMCs Ill, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and NCR are continuously monitoring
their areas of responsibility and are in close coordination with their respective member
agencies to ensure the widest dissemination of updates and advisories through SMS,
facsimile, and official social media websites.

a, Batangas Police Provincial Office (PPO) personnel provided assistance in

no smoking, curfew hour, what to do during earthquake and the
observance of garbage disposal, health and sanitation to all evacuees at
Banaba West Elementary School Evacuation Center.
¢. Provincial Director of Batangas conducted ocular inspection at FIT for
possible landing zone of PRRD re Visit at Polytechnic University of the
Philippines Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
d. Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO) CALABARZON arrived at
St. Thomas Suites and conducted ocular inspection at holding area.

a. Augmented immunization supplies for Batangas and Cavite Evacuation
Centers.
b. CALABARZON MHPSS Team conducted MHPSS in different municipalities
of Batangas.Batangas Medical Center
* Replenished masks, medicines and other supplies from Batangas
Medical Center Pharmacy and Cavite Evacuation Centers.
* Coordinated with Chief of Administrative Officers regarding
utilization of hospital dormitory for HERT from other institution.

3. METRO MANILA DRRM COUNCIL
National Nutrition Council (NNC) - NCR
Conducted rapid nutrition assessment as part of the Metro Manila CHD
Public Health Team on NIE.
