STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

As a current, 1st year, 2nd semester law student and previous intern with the National
Commission for Protection of Child Rights, it is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to
apply for the volunteer position in Legal Aid Clinic. I believe that my knowledge, skills, and
experience are a perfect match for this position.

I have always tried to find something good and do productive work in all conditions. I have
good managerial skills and can work efficiently in pressure conditions. One can always expect
dedication, hard work and punctuality from me. I manage both academics and co-curricular
activities together.

As an active member of the IDIA Hyderabad training and material team, I have assisted in
mentoring underprivileged law students. I have also taken part as a volunteer for various
events held on campus.

I am a community-minded citizen who wants to make a positive change in the world. I

believe my talents and motivation would be helpful for the NALSAR Legal Aid Group in the
work they do for the local community and their commitment to effectively assist the local
disadvantaged individuals with court procedures. The mission of the legal aid group is
exactly the type of environment in which I hope to work during my undergraduate law
course.

My co-curricular activities include sports and reading. I like interacting with people and
making new contacts. I believe that working with the legal aid group shall add on to the little
knowledge that I have already gained through my studies as it would also help me to gain
practical knowledge in the legal field. Working in the legal aid clinic group would acquaint me
with the court procedures.

I am excited about the possibility of speaking with you further about this outstanding
opportunity with your group.
