New Year 2020: A new decade has come

Here we are for another set of exciting journey and adventurous challenges and it just felt different.

Anxious?

Excited?

Scared?

Seems like our hearts have a concoction of emotions – each one trying to express themselves but cannot.

Why? Because of UNCERTAINTY and its MYSTERIOUS nature.

We are not quite sure as to what this new decade will bring.

Is this a year of favor or a year of pruning? We don’t know.

We, humans, are NOT God to know and control everything.

We cannot control our surroundings.

We cannot control others.

We cannot know the future in its fullness.

But,

We can control our response.

We can control our perspectives and views, and

We can choose hope over anxiety.

Though our surroundings affect us so much, the degree of its impact depends on our choice – whether
we let it in or not. Thus, our mindset has a significant role to play.

Do we choose to open the doors of hope, positivity, and gratefulness?

Or do we choose to open the doors of despair, pessimism, and complaining?

It will always be a choice for us to make.

Though we get a little bit anxious, there is one thing that we can be sure of.

Times and seasons may change but our God remains the same.
God is in control.

He remains faithful.

He remains righteous.

And He remains sovereign above all.

This is our confident hope even if everything seems to be out of control and our circumstances may seem
to be unchangeable.

Why?

Because we have seen the goodness and grace of the righteous God all the days of our lives even in the
midst of our most challenging and darkest moments.

Surely, there is so much to thank for.

In the past years,

We survived all the hardest battles.

We endured darkest situations.

We won and overcame all of them not because of our own strength but because God fought for us.

So, in this decade, no matter what we will face,

We will only expect endless possibilities and opportunities,

Hope and positivity,

Shouts of rejoicing, and

A celebration for both small and great victories.

A blessed new year, everyone!
