Mt) ICT) SET ITE ooo INTRODUCTION Mission for Tribes and Nations (MFTN) Is a Christian faith based ministry founded by Pastor Ruben Rasalll in 2008. It is established with the vision to reach unreached groups with the gospel message and plant native language speaking. churches by training indigenous believers. As a result, 127 churches have been planted, 215 tribal people from Rat Catchers, Chepang, Badi, and Dalits tribes have been trained to be church planters and evangelists and are now Wolved in the ministry. Because of this, MFTN has reached over a million previously unreached people with the gospel and led over 20,000 people to Christ until 2019. Besides church planting, MFTN is also involved in social activities in tribal villages. In 2018-2019, MFTN sponsored 150 hand pumps to supply clean water in tribal villages and rescued over 70 girls from the sex trafficking industry and provided them with a Safe Home. These girs are given the opportunity to come to know Christ and are also given life skils training, so they can become self-sufficient. MFTN began an English Medium School to provide free education to poor, orphan and tribal children. Through this school, today 600 children are receiving an education. These children would not normally have had this opportunity by themselves. We have adopted 34 orphan children and sponsor over 40 poor children. We also provide every student with a hot meal each day, so that no child will return home on an empty stomach. WHY FIGHT AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING? [Nepalis known by sex traffickers as South Asia's Human Trafficking Transit Country. This is because Nepal has an Open Border with India. Gits from the Philippines, Pakistan, ri Lanka and Bangladesh are all brought through Nepal to be taken to sex industries in major cities of India & Europe. Beside this, over 30,000 teenage girs are trafficked every year from Nepal itself to Incia where they are taken to brothels to be used in the sex trade. Girls are beaten and physically tortured for denying service. Finally, they either become victims of numerous sexual transmitted diseases or killed. PRC Re Cems Lic ‘The brokers lie to teenage girs. They are told they have being offered a good job across the border witha good pay, working ina hotel. This appears to be a great opportunity {for girls, and they are happy to goto start their new career in India. Their families are ‘equaly happy for their daughters and let them goto start their new job. Sadly, some fathers are aware ofthis trade yet they wl sel their daughters for money for himself ‘We have a team of volunteers who patrol the borders as well as educating families in villages against this eruel trade. They search the buses at the bus parks atthe border, And rescue girs from that point. This canbe dangerous work, ‘We believe prevention is better than cure and our stalf members edueate people in villages about this erue trade. We also have 60 volunteers who go door to door, village tovillage, distributing leaflets and talking to teenagers and parents about this, ‘trade. Our goa isto raise awareness, so that these girls can refuse to go with brokers. iv WHY ARE WE DRILLING ‘There is a tribe in Nepal called “Rat Catchers" whose overall population is over 300,000. They are classed as "untouchables" and are discriminated against in Hinduism. Separated from other communities and deprived of any opportunity, they drink water from the nearby river or the pond, and their children die from various water, borne viruses and sicknesses oe ae if Why we started Mission School? ‘According to UNICEF, over 770,000 children in Nepal have have not stepped Into any school once in their childhood. There are several reasons for this ~ poverty, discrimination based on Nepal’ class ‘caste’ system, untouchability and also a lack of parental awareness on the importance of education. Nepal's state run schools are fee paying, so children from poor families can not attend these schools. MFTN started a free English Medium Mission School (Innovative ‘Academy) to give opportunity to those children who deserve an education but whose parents cannot afford to give them one. This schoo! was built with the intention to give opportunities to those children who deserve an education but whose parents can not afford to send them to school. Today, MFTN's Innov: ‘Schoo! has over 600 children, and itis our goal to help break the generational ceycle of poverty in these children’s lives, by giving them an education. ‘We have a well structured school building with 11 ‘classrooms. We also have 2 school buses to transport children from tribal villages to school and back home. Before we bought these school buses, most of our students were walking 4 miles to and 4 miles from school each day, leaving home at Sam and rot returning home tll jm. In partnership with "Peed the Hungry, UK’ we are able to provide a hot ‘meal each day to al our students to fill their empty stomachs. 1. ORPHANAGE.
