Hamilton’s perspective:

Now I know I tried to hide all of the lies--the ones I denied

I cheated with Washington’s wife, made her cry-made them cry,
Nevertheless this battle is between Burr and I, not the past I left behind.
I’m agitated by Burr’s own mind, why would he try to fight me

I have nothing to worry about, the mind and maneuver of a past soldier
Is what keeps my mind sober, the battle will be over with me the winner
Your thoughts are unprecedented and unwarrenable, straight up horrible
Why listen to the opinions of a dangerous opportunist?

As I stand, gun in hand, my aim demands I win this shoot off

So that this man’s plans will never define a single American
I face Burr and get ready to shoot first, but I realize it isn’t worth
So I lift my gun to the air and yielded
But my effort is met with the worst
A bullet or two right through the one place it hurts, my stomach and spine

I fell to the floor, floored, and I felt the pain in my life

My demise, an incident comprised through the torture through my eyes
I lie down on the ground contemplating my life, what will go to my wife and 8 kids?
Other than the bliss of a name to carry on knowing their father’s true fate, death by absolute
hate, as I’m carried away to the hospital where I will stay and eventually leave Earth’s disdain.

Burr’s Perspective:

Had it not been for this foolish man

Everything would have gone according to plan
As the president of this nation I would stand
Rather than the vice president of this land

Hatred coursed through my veins

For he was the reason behind all my pains
My vengeance ought to make him quiver
For a bullet to his pride I would deliver

I will aim strong and clear

And show no fear-- as he had none when insulting me here
I do not mean to end his life, but merely prove my rightful place
After all it was his fault we were battling face-to-face

My patience had been delayed and in a sudden bit of haste I shot my gun.
The bullet pierced his veins and he fell backwards-- bent knees.
I saw his face and walked away, knowing the battle was won by me
But I shall not decide his fate for the bullet calls his name six feet beneath our feet.

Narrative:

Started off as a disgrace, son of hate

Born to have a twisted fate, bullet late
Forced to skate across life with snakes
He saw how they kill our faith and cause disgrace by lying to their friends and families about
their mistakes.
They won’t change their ways and sometimes even act cliche because they know they can’t ace
life in the same way as their roots of jealousy do.

Well he rose above that hate to create a world where Americans could make their own fate
Knock knock here he comes breaking down the doors, the barriers, the fences of scorn and
bete noire paving the way for other pioneers to build their own country
A country of true hope and faith--a safe haven away from the snakes allowing for us to be able
to grow and prosper in peace.
