(CNFs)
CNFs is made from wood-derived fiber (pulp) or from plant fibers

Characteristics:

1. Light and strong

2. Fiber width:
about 3nm
3. Large specific

Large deposits of wollastonite have been
Wollastonite (Wo) identified in China, Finland, India, Mexico,
and the United States

Wollastonite is a naturally
white mineral formed due to
the interaction of limestone
with silica in hot magmas

RESULTS
Compressive Strength The inclusion of
wollastonite reinforced
with CNFs led to
improve the
compressive strength
of UHPM at 7 days.

The improvements are

approximately 4-11%
higher when 4.8%
wollastonite was added
into 0.05% and 0.15%
CNFs mortars.

samples containing wollastonite.
The flexural strength increases 11% higher

Challenge for further research
• Appropriate dosage when combined micro- and nano
fibers as construction material

• The proper dispersion of nano particles should be taken

into account

• The implementation on larger scale for construction site

• Existing legal and regulatory framework in these Asian

countries
Global fibers market

The natural fiber market are expected to grow by 2026

The market in Asia Pacific is estimated to expand at a rapid
pace during the forecast period
