Christen - Labelling a name to someone or something that reflects a property.

"Our host is a delightful topic. He was christened 'Prince Charming' years ago."

My best friend is christened "Goopy" because he keeps on getting a cold and always
drips mucus from his nose.

Hoarse - Sounding rough and raspy

Women with hoarse voices and harsh laughter cakked after him.

All the shouting from yesterday has left my voice hoarse.

Brocade - A thick heavy expensive design.

"I went to look after a piece of old brocade in Wardour Street."

I was amazed at how Mr. Herbert managed to intricately weave these brocade curtains
for the huge windows of the manor.

Warble - Sang in a trlling manner or with many turns and variations.

"You're very comforting," the duchess warbled.

I talked with and enthusiast last night, and he warbled as he talked; for he was
very pleased with what we spoked about.

Dandy - A man greatly concerened with smartness of dress.

"Well Harry, what brings you out so early? I thought you dandies never got up till
two, and were not visible till five."

There were definetly a lot of dadies in during the prom.
