Assalamualaikum my name Eko Purwanto. I would like to introduce my researh project.

The
title that I took is the influence of SiMaYang Type II learning model on the ability of Chemical
Representation of Students in the Material of Acid and Base Titration. According to
Johnston (in Sunyono, 2015) understanding of concepts in chemistry involves the ability of
the concept to use three levels of representation namely macroscopic, submicroscopic and
symbolic. Symbolic aspects are aspects in the form of symbols as the language of chemical
equations and the forms of objects such as solids (s), liquids (l), and gases (g). Macroscopic
aspects are phenomena that can be seen with the naked eye such as seeing temperature,
changing pH, etc. Microscopic aspects are phenomena that cannot be seen with the naked
eye, such as atoms, molecules, movement of electrons, etc. the learning that I felt so far
only taught two aspects, i.e. only symbolic and macroscopic aspects. While the microscopic
aspect is only a little taught, this is the reason why there is still an assumption that
chemistry is abstract. So i want to turn abstract learning into concrete learning.
Why this research is important because of these 3 aspects of chemistry is very important
to be linked. By linking these 3 aspects, students are able to understand chemical
representations, especially in microscopic aspects, so students are helped to improve
students' understanding of chemical concepts.

Therefore, the learning model used in class can use the learning model to display the three
levels of representation namely macroscopic, submicroscopic and symbolic. Research on
the effectiveness of the SiMaYang Type II learning model in chemistry learning According
to Sunyono (2014) the purpose of the SiMaYang Type II learning model is to teach abstract
concepts, and this is related to macro, sub-micro, and symbolic phenomena, and teaches
skills in building mental models to optimize the ability of imagination. This learning model
is recommended for linking 3 aspects of chemical representation
