their own section and parts of the group sections. We will go over this one rehearsal. It is so
important for you guys to develop your own characters and ensemble to make it that much
better on stage! Please don’t delete anything that you didn’t write. Double Casts should do this
individually it should not be the same for any two people. If you have any questions, leave a
comment and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

with what John orders us

seems to be worth doing
tasks like these. Besides,

target are anyone I
personally know so in the
end, it won’t bother me

Here is the part where you guys create your own stimuli. The directors will look through
this and see how you guys are developing as a holistic ensemble. If you are a bit lost
look at what the directors wrote out and do a similar thing.

Physicality ​- Entering - You are not good at your jobs so when you enter the space, express this.
You are holding onto your prisoners but if everyone is doing it well, your characters don't get the
opportunity to shine. Struggle to keep control or show extreme focus as it is a difficult task.

- Allow your character to be proud of themself if they do something well.- Keep subtle
movements to suggest that you are a terrible soldier but are trying your best

- Physicality should not be completely controlled: - Shuffle - Stagger - Strut Decide which style
suits your specific character. There should be a distinction between the Merry Men and the
soldier. Think about how you can communicate this in the way you hold yourself.

- Reactions emphasize character, find those moments to express your character- work on
maintaining character throughout the scene, how can you use your body to show this character.
E.g. stance, facial expressions, how do you react or move.- Perhaps you might have s brief
storyline for your character in the scene as long as it is subtle.

For example; you were late to report for duty that day so you were already lacking competency
then you had to hold this prisoner who was much stronger so you work really hard to hold him in
place but you keep getting distracted and, you forget about your prisoner and have to try to
regain control again.
