This section describes the operation of the DT700/DT800 series terminals with
backup IP address. During a network failure DT700/DT800 series terminals can
connect to backup SIP servers. When the DT700/DT800 terminal loses connection to
the DHCP server, the last IP address assigned will be used until the DHCP server is
back on-line. Backup IP address must retrieve SIP server IP addresses and SIP
server port numbers from a DHCP server. A maximum of four SIP servers can be
assigned.

When Same Value is selected, the entered number is used for all
terminals. Using Increment Value, the beginning value and ending value
is entered. The input value for each terminal is then incremented by one
number, beginning with the start value. With the Even Increment option,
the even numbered values are assigned to the terminals within the range
specified. (If an odd number is set as the start value, the next even value
will be used as the starting point.)
With the Increment and Even Increment Values, if the range is not
sufficient for the number of terminals being assigned, the remaining
terminals over the end value are left unchanged. The values are
assigned in the order displayed in the data entry list.

the active IP Phone Manager home layout screen.
The ListCtrl Order window allows the order of the columns of displayed
items to be shifted left (UP) or right (DOWN).
5. Tool – This options opens the DT Archiver application. This option allows
file compression and decompression of the DT700/DT800 series IP
terminal information. Refer to DT Archiver on page 3-1 for further details
on this option.
6. Help – Displays the version information of IP Phone Manager.
7. Select ALL – The Select ALL button on the home screen selects all
discovered terminals.
8. Clear ALL – The Clear ALL button of the home screen unselects all the
terminals that have been preselected on the home screen.
9. Quit – Quit is used to terminate all communication between IP Phone
Manager and closes the application.
If the IP addresses for the terminals are not acquired from the DHCP server, or
in a different subnet, enter the IP addresses manually into the application. The IP
Phone Manager is not able to communicate with the terminals if there is no
setting or port number. The information can be retrieved after entering the
address.
When an IP terminal is disconnected from the network, the connection with the
IP Phone Manager is lost and connection and/or retrieval of terminal data is not
possible. The Search frequency should be set to two more times in order to locate
a recently connected terminal.
There are three methods for searching for active terminals on your network. Once the
data has been retrieved, it can be exported to a CSV file using the Export feature.
1. Search
The IP Phone manager sends a broadcast over the network in search of
terminals. Active terminals respond to this broadcast with terminal information.
There are three settings that change the Search Frequency and timing of the IP
Phone Manager broadcast.
2. Direct
When an IP Address of the terminal is known, it is possible to search for it
independently. This is commonly used to for a quick search of a specific
terminal or a terminal that may be in a different network or subnet.
This option can also be used to update terminals already displayed in the list of
terminals. Simply check the boxes for the desired terminal, click the Direct
button then press the Execute button.
3. Import
PBX System configuration applications may export a list of registered terminals
in a CSV file format. This CSV file can be imported to the IP Phone Manager
Application. This import can now be used to Search and Connect the registered
terminals indicated in the imported file.
The IP Phone Manager allows an active list of terminals to be exported in CSV
format for later import or to save a current database for examination.
4. Export
The IP Phone Manager will allow an active list of terminals to be exported in
CSV format for later import or to save a current database for examination. All
terminal data is exported, not just the terminals checked in the main screen.
Using an exported file with the Auto Configuration application allows for multiple
terminal-specific entry instead of editing a single configuration used for all
terminals. The exported CSV file will also contain NAT settings. This information
is not displayed in the IP Phone Manager application.
4.1 Terminal Data

When the Send Until Successful option is selected and a command is waiting to be
performed, the following window is displayed indicating the type and number of
commands waiting to be performed.
This window can be closed to exit back to the main screen. The commands will
continue to wait until they can be performed.
Information is displayed in Status field of the main screen. The field will show “xxxxx
Transmit” (xxxxx = the command type) to indicate the function is waiting to be
performed. Once completed, the status indicates as “xxxxx Complete”.
The Send Until Successful status can be used to retain one command for each terminal.
If a second command for the same terminal is sent, the first command is released and the
latest one is retained.
For example, if the “Download” command is sent to a busy terminal, it will wait until
the terminal becomes idle then perform the download. However, if another command is
sent (example: Reset) or if the Connect button is pressed for this same terminal, the
“Download” command is released the “Reset” command waits for the terminal to
become idle.

Conditions
English is the default language before connecting the terminal to the
server.
Multilingual displays using an XML application require contents that
support multilingual display.
Each local subsidiary must create the translation file and check the
menu display.
To create translation files, use the freeware "poEdit".
Settings are specified in the English alphanumeric input mode,
regardless of specified language.
For digital or IP DESI-Less terminals, the display shows eight function keys per
screen with a total of four pages available providing up to 32 function keys. When an
incoming call is received and the key is displayed on a screen not currently being
viewed, the icon indicating the screen with the incoming call can flash or it can be
brought automatically to the front. With previous software, the screen icon would blink
which had the incoming call. System programming is also required. Refer to system
programming manuals for additional system settings.
Conditions
One one screen number can flash, even if there are multiple calls ringing.
The blink rate of the scree icon is fixed and cannot be changed.
If a call is ringing in on a Trunk Group Access key and a Loop key, the screen
with the Trunk Group Access key will take priority.
You can also use the Data Maintenance Tool or the IP Phone Manager to upload
wallpaper graphics to terminals. Refer to Data Maintenance Tool on page 5-1 or IP

10.5 Terminal Menu: Program Added for Menu Button, Navigation Pad
and XML Operation
An option has been added to manage the operation of the Navigation Pad and
Menu buttons (located in the lower right-hand corner of the DT700/DT800 terminal,
and the digital and IP Enhanced terminals). This program also affects the XML
menu for DT700/DT800 terminal users.
Use this option to determine how the Navigation Pad and Menu keys respond when
a user changes the state of the terminal while viewing the menu. Selecting "0"
(Automatic) will automatically exit the menu display when the terminal changes
state from an idle condition. Selecting "1" (Manual) will require that the user presses
the "Back" softkey in order to exit the display.
By default, all users are set to "0"
It is also possible with this firmware, depending on the configuration and terminals
involved, to encrypt the RTP (SRTP).
The MH240 WiFi terminal will not support this encryption. However, the terminal will
encrypt a message in the wireless area.
With NetLink, Remote Unit or CCIS, Encryption is not available between systems.
SIP Signaling Encryption is supported between the DT700/DT800 IP terminal and
the CCPU only. Other protocols, such as SIP trunking or standard SIP terminals, are
not supported.

Note
In functions which use Multicast RTP (BGM, Paging, Room Monitor), it is possible to
use SRTP. However, all the terminals must have the Encryption Mode enabled.
Otherwise, the SRTP Multicast cannot be decoded.
The MH240 phone does not support Multicast RTP).
P2P calls do not use RTP Forwarding Mode.
A SIP MLT call on a SIP trunk will encrypt the voice data between the SIP MLT and the
CCPU. The SIP trunk side of the call will not be encrypted.
RTP encryption is supported between terminals with IP terminal firmware 2.2.2.0 or
higher. If a terminal with this firmware connects to older firmware, RTP encryption is
not available.
Set the Signaling Encryption
6 - 16 IP Terminal Features
DT Resource Manual Issue 10.0
With Multicast RTP (BGM, Paging, Room Monitor), it is necessary to enable the
encryption mode (both signaling encryption and RTP encryption).
If Program 10-26-02 : RTP Forwarding Mode is enabled, the voice is not encrypted
between the IP terminal and the VOIPDB.
If you change the Temporary Password using Program 90-45-01, you must set the
one time password in the terminal setup as well. (This cannot be set using Auto
Config. It must be set manually in each terminal.)
With the DT Softphone, the application provides the ability to log in with an IP
terminal’s extension number. When this option is used, the terminal will display
“override?”. At this prompt, select “yes” within 24 hours. If you do not select “yes”
within 24 hours, the terminal restarts the registration sequence after you push the
button.
If you change the encryption mode (Program 10-46-07), you must reset the DT700/
DT800.
When using encryption with the DT Softphone, the "SIP/Audio RTP Encryption"
option in the DT Desktop Configuration must be enabled.
If you set the SRTP to on, the VOIPDB resource decreases. Refer to the tables
below for the number of DSP resources used.

Firmware Versions:
The Portal screen that is displayed right after starting up the phone depends
on whether you start up the phone by using an XML application with its home
URL registered or without its home URL registered. This section provides
sample screen displays for both cases, and explains how to start up the menu
screen.
Home URL: A Home URL is the address information of the
application that is to be accessed first after the phone is started.
TIP
Home URL registration is performed during installation. For
details, contact the system administrator.
Portal Screen: A Portal screen is the home (entrance) screen of the
phone. When you use multiple XML applications, the URL that is
registered as the home URL is the Portal screen; this is where other
XML applications can be accessed.
When a home URL is not registered, the default home screen of the
phone (Desktop screen or DESI-less screen) is the Portal screen.

Radius server for local network access. When using DT820 and DT830 phones with
v3.0.0.0/v5.0.0.0 software certificates can be loaded onto the phone to use EAP-TLS
authentication to a Radius server. These features require the following network
resources to support these options. In addition when using EAP-TLS the appropriate
certificates must be provided by a certificate issuing authority.
Client
The DT800 series or a client device connected to the PC port, for example a PC,
of the DT700/DT800 series which accesses the network through 802.1X
authentication.
Authenticator
