There are lots of bottles for breastfeeding babies
out there. There isn’t one bottle that works for all breastfeeding babies though. We have tried quite a few different bottles between our three children. They each had a different preference. Medela: my oldest was the easiest when it came to bottles. He used the standard Medela bottles that came with the pump. There are different nipple flows but we stuck with the “slow flow” since it would aid in an easy transfer between nursing and bottles. Some children will become frustrated with nursing after using a high flow bottle nipple since it takes more work to get milk. Avent: my second was exclusively bottle fed with breast milk. She used the Medela bottles in the beginning but she started taking in too much air when feeding. My sister-in-law gave me some Avent bottles that her son didn’t like and they were a perfect match! They have a ring that helps prevent gas. There are other anti-gas bottles on the market but I preferred these since the parts were easy to assemble and clean. Bare: my third child has not liked any of the previous bottles we used. I did a lot of research to try and find a bottle that would work for him. I came across a mom-invented bottle that had not been released yet. These bottles use vacuum seal technology so there is no air in the bottle. These bottles function as similar to a breast as possible. We have only used it a few times and I’m still learning how to assemble it since it is different than regular bottles. He really isn’t a fan of bottles but will drink a few sips at a time from this one. Check them out http://www.bittylab.com
