CHAPTER I

The Problem and It’s Background

Introduction

Physics is the branch of science that deals with the interaction between matter
and energy. Why physics became the problem of the 11 students of Iv-Mabini?
because the lessons in physics is too hard for them to understand because physics
merged with mathematics together with the English subject. There are so many
reasons why some students can’t pass the subject of physics. Maybe because they
don’t like the subject teacher. Maybe because the school does not have enough
laboratory apparatus to study and apply the theories and law’s of some physicists.
And maybe because their just a lazy students

The purpose of this study is to lessen the 11 students of IV-Mabini that are
failed in physics during 1st , 2nd , and 3rd quarter period.
Statement of the Problem

This study sought to assess and analyze on what was the reasons why the 11
students of IV-Mabini failed in physics from 1st–3rd quarter S.Y 2014-2015. To
attain this goal, the following specific problems were addressed in this inquiry;

1) What are the grades of the 11 students of IV-Mabini in physics from 1st-3rd
quarter?
2) What are the reasons why the 11 students of IV-Mabini failed in physics?
3) How can these students improve their grades in physics?

Hypothesis

There are no reason why the 11 students of IV-Mabini failed in physics during
the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter.

Significance of the Study

Students- They will know the reasons why and how they failed the subject of
physics. Aside from that, they will know the things that they need to do
in order to pass the subject of physics.
Parents- They will know the reasons why their child failed in physics. And they
will know on how to help their child to pass the subject of physics.
Teacher- They will not exert more effort and energy to compute the failed grades
of the 11 students of IV-Mabini because after this study we hope that
the 11 students of IV-Mabini will get a higher grade in physics.
Conceptual Framework

PHYSICS

11 Students of IV-Mabini

Because of the Because of their Bad Because of their Because they don’t
Expensive Projects Attitudes Absences understand the lessons

We used the research paradigm to show the reasons why 11 students of IV-
Mabini failed in physics from 1st-3rd quarter. The first reason that appeared in our
paradigm is because of the expensive projects. The second is because of their bad
attitudes. The third is because of their absences. And lastly because they don’t
understand the lessons in physics. All of that reasons was based on our survey that
we conducted to the 11 students of IV-Mabini.
Scope and Limitation

The respondents of this study are the 11 students of IV-Mabini who failed in
physics during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter of S.Y 2014-2015.

Definition of Terms

Goal- we used the word goal to have a result and to achieve something.
Survey- we used the word survey to define what was the instrument we used in
studying our study.
Merged- we used the word merged as a substitute word for combination.
Physics- refers to the branch of science that deals with the interaction between
matter and energy.
CHAPTER III
Research Methodology

Method of research used

This study used the descriptive research because it describe characteristics of a

population or phenomenon being studied. It does not answer questions about
how/when/why the characteristics occurred. Rather it addresses the "what"
question (what are the characteristics of the population or situation being
studied?). We used the descriptive research for us to understand our study clearly.

Instrument Used

The instrument used in this study were made a survey contains at least 6
questions that they should answer.

Respondents of the Study

The respondents of this study is the 11 students of IV-Mabini that are failed in
physics. We choose them as our respondents of our study because we want to
lessen the number of students that are failed in physics.
Statistical Treatment of Data

Frequency distribution was used to determined the result.

Data Gathering Procedure

To gather the needed data and information, the following basic steps were
chronologically undertaen by our researcher.

1. We construct the survey questionnaire according to the specific problems

of our study.
2. We conduct survey from the 11 students of IV-Mabini who are failed in
physics.
3. We evaluate their answer and analyze it.
4. We recorded their answer and made a table for analyze and interpretation.

CHAPTER V
Summary, Conclusions and Recommendations

Summary

The grades of the 11 students that are failed in physics was rangein 70-74 from
list, 2nd and 3rd quarter period. And the reasons why they failed from 1st – 3rd
quarter in physics is, because of their absences, because of the expensive projects
and lastly because they don’t understand the lesson in physics. So we recommend
them to listen carefully while the classes in physics was on going. For them to
improve their grades in physics.

Conclusion

The hypothesis, there are no reasons why the 11 students of IV- Mabini
failed in physics during the 1st , 2nd , 3rd Quarter is rejected because in our survey
there are 4 reasons appered why they failed the subject of physics the first reason
is because of their Absences, the secondis because of the expensive projects. The
third one is because of their bad attitudes. And lastly because they don’t
understand the lessons in physics.

Recommendations

1. We suggest that they need to pay attention while the classes was on going.
2. We suggest that they need to pass all the requirement in physics.
3. We suggest that they need to behave on the subject teacher.
