SA Code Modification Guide

• Always try to modify the SA Code via XENTRY/DAS first

– Refer to work instructions in WIS for the appropriate SA Code
– Hitting the “?” button on the “entry for retrofits and modifications” screen will
provide a list of permissible codes
– Adding the SA code yourself will save you time from waiting for the change to be
made by support but not all SA Codes can be modified via the diagnosis system

• If the modification is not permissible via the diagnosis system, please submit a request to
the Diagnosis UHD via email to mbdiagnosis@mbusa.com
• All requests must contain the following:
– Dealer code and contact person with phone number
– VIN of vehicle
– Reason for SA Code modification and supporting documents. Examples: WIS
instructions, LI documents, service bulletins, a screen shot from XENTRY, etc.
– SA Code requested
