Out of the many United Nations goals, the most important one is Climate Action.

This
goal talks about how the U.N wants to get others to start paying attention to global
warming. In the article, it states “​Weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising,
weather events are becoming more extreme and greenhouse gas emissions are now at
their highest levels in history. Without action, the world’s average surface temperature is
likely to surpass 3 degrees centigrade this century.” As previously stated, the Earth is
changing rapidly every day as we get closer to when climate change becomes an
international problem. When the weather patterns start changing there will be more
natural disasters and heatwaves, causing lots of poor people to just die where they
were left. If the sea levels rise, the citizens that live on the coast will have to move
inland because the coastline will flood. So many people will be affected by this issue in
a negative way. In some forms, climate change has already started to hit people.
Climate change is one of the most important things that today’s people focus on so it is
possible to stop it from becoming the inevitable fate of humanity.
