HOMEMADE POWER BANK
Benefits of power bank:
• It's very useful when you have a power cut at your home or no electricity area.
• Faster charging because these are highly powered devices.
• It can be recharged easily by attaching to any USB port.
• Power banks are always giving freedom to use the smartphone without worrying about
its battery.
• In case of emergency, you can use power bank for your mobile phones.

THINGS WE NEED:
• PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD
• TRANSISTOR/ RESISTOR
• LED BULB
• WIRE
• BATTERY CAP
• SOLDERING IRON/ LEAD
• USB ADAPTOR
METHOD:
• Clean the cell terminals properly and if required, you can also sand them gently using
sandpaper.
• Place all the cells adjacent to each other.
• Take solder tabs and apply solder to both the edges.
• Place the solder tab over the cells and connect it to the cell terminal using soldering
iron.
• Connect all the cells in parallel using the solder Tabs.
• Each cell is 3.7v 2200 mAh, so now we have a 3.7v 8800 mAh battery bank.
• Also, connect wires to the battery terminals.
• Take a sheet of cardboard.
• Place the battery over the cardboard and mark the dimensions.
• Using the dimensions, make a box to fit the batteries and the electronic circuit.
• Mark the space for the components, so they can be placed easily.
• Using knife, cut the slots for switch, USB port and Micro USB Port carefully.
COIN BATTERY
Main Objectives:
• Our main objective is to generate electricity from simple material like coins, vinegar and
aluminum to light up a led. In this way create a battery that is simple and doesn’t need
of materials that harm the ecosystem.

Specific Objectives:
• Understand how the coin battery works and how does it produces energy.
• Learn who was the first person to create this battery and why.
• See what benefits these batteries bring to the world.

Method:
• In a small bowl, mix together the salt in the vinegar until the salt is dissolved.
• Cut the paper towel (or coffee filters) into small squares. You will want them smaller
than the coins so they are not overlapping.
• Dip the squares into the vinegar and salt mixture and layer the coins in a pattern: penny,
paper, nickel. You will want to finish with a penny on one end and a nickel on the other
end.
• Once you have a large stack, you can test it out with your multimeter. You will want to
turn it to a low voltage setting and test it out. To light up an LED light, you will need to
reach about a 2 V reading on the multimeter..
