When someone mentions Siquijor, one can’t help but think of mystery and magic. The
only magic that will enchant you when you visit this small island is its natural wonders.
The province may be small, in fact, it’s the third smallest in the country, but what it lacks
in size it makes up for with tourist destinations

as the most technical and interesting trail because of its narrow and different type of
trails. Boulders of Mt. Apo is one of the famous features which would lead to a breath

the color of glistening sapphire and emerald water. This majestic blue lagoon is safely
nestled in a forest within a mountainside.
Davao City

Known to be the largest city in the Philippines Davao city. This is also the hometown of
our newly elected President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte. Well, Davao city has a
lot of showcases when we talk about tourism. Davao is home of the Philippine Eagle
and known as the Durian Capital in the Philippines since this is the city where you can
find varieties of Durian. Samal Island is one of the most visited tourist spots in the spots
in the City when it comes to relaxation and recreational activities. In fact, there are
around 70 resorts and world-class accommodations that are being offered in Samal
Island.
Siargao is a place for everyone. Known as the surfing capital of the Philippines, this humble island in
Surigao del Norte has lots of breathtaking natural attractions worth bragging about. From islands and
beaches to caves and lagoons, these Siargao tourist spots deserve a spot on your itinerary.

1. Cloud 9 Surf Spot

Cloud 9 is the place to be if you want to experience surfing in Siargao. It's the most sought-after
wave on the island, attracting many surfers all around the globe, with some even competing in the
annual Siargao Cup—an international surfing competition. A picturesque boardwalk leads you to the
surfing area, and there are various shops where you can rent boards and even avail of lessons if
you're just starting on the sport.

2. Dako Island, Guyam Island, and Naked Island

Next to surfing, island hopping is one of the more popular activities to try in Siargao. A boating trip
will take you to see three of the most breathtaking and unique islands that Siargao has to offer: Dako
Island, Guyam Island, and Naked Island.

Daku Island is named after the Visayan term "daku," which means big and rightfully so because of its
vastness. Covered with white sand shores and turquoise-colored waters and sprinkled with lush
vegetation, this island is a haven for nature lovers. You can relax on the sand or take a refreshing
dip in the sea. Naked Island, on the other hand, shows beauty in its simplicity. This barren white
sandbar will attract beach bums who want to disconnect from it all and spend time with nature. Last
but not the least, Guyam Island is a tiny oasis, but don't be quick to judge it on its size. It has an
abundance of marine life, which makes it a popular snorkeling spot. It is also characterized by its
white sand as well as its lush vegetation of coconut trees.

3. Pacifico Beach
As expected, Siargao also takes pride in its beautiful beaches that give more popular destinations
like Boracay a run for their money. What's more, Siargao's shores are less crowded and more
peaceful, which is perfect if you want to escape from it all. Pacifico Beach, for one, has mesmerizing
white sand that will surely captivate anyone. Located in the town of San Isidro, it's also home to
some awesome waves, making it an alternative surf spot for wave riders who want to stray from the
crowds of Cloud 9.

4. Magpupungko Beach
Another white sand wonder in Siargao is the Magpupungko Beach. Located in the town of Pilar, it's
about an hour away from Cloud 9. You can easily visit this marvelous beach or any of the other
beaches in Siargao by renting a motorcycle or hiring a tricycle to take you around.

5. Magpupungko Tidal Pools

Aside from the beach, Magpupungko is also visited for its tidal pools. During low tide, these natural
swimming pools become the perfect place to take a relaxing dip because of its crystal-clear waters.
Its gorgeous rock formations are also picture-perfect.

6. Taktak Falls

If all that vitamin sea you're soaking up in Siargao is still not enough, then you might want to add
Taktak Falls to your itinerary. This waterfall can be found in the town of Santa Monica and is the
perfect side trip if you want to take a break from all the sun, sand, and sea. Swimming, diving, and
cliff jumping are some of the many things you can do when you visit.

7. Sohoton Cove National Park

Bucas Grande Island is the home of the Sohoton Cove National Park, a protected area that houses
a magnificent lagoon filled with stingless jellyfishes as well as several caves that you can explore
during low tide. If adventure is what you seek for your Siargao trip, you can marvel at the limestone
formations in each of the caves and swim with the jellies.

Mt. Pinatubo
If you are one of the thousands ofsubscribers to my blog, you will know that I have
mentioned Mt Pinatubo on a number of occasions.
Located in Zambales’ mountain range, this really is a must-see place. Rather than write a
whole new blurb about Mt Pinatubo, you can read my blog.
However, one thing I must mention is how hot it gets on the hike with all the volcanic activity
in the area.

You must stay hydrated and go well prepared due to all the volcanic dust that floats around,
and the extreme heat.

Located in Ilocos Sur, Bolinao has so much to offer. There are golden and white sand beaches, rock
formations, caves, waterfalls, and historical landmarks.

Subic Bay
Subic Bay is a former US navy stronghold. Located in the province of Zambales, Subic is not
necessarily associated with having a typical tropical setting that one normally associates with the
Philippines.
Baguio is located within Benguet province and is situated at an altitude of
approximately 1,540 meters (5,050 feet). Located in the Luzon tropical pine
forests ecoregion, it has become a very popular tourist destination at summertime
(March/April).
Due to its altitude, many people flock there to escape the heat in the lowland areas. As such,
it has become known as the “Summer Capital of the Philippines”.
One thing worth checking out is the Panagbenga Festival, which is a month-long
annual flower festival held every February. This is good fun and well worth a visit if you can
make it at the time of year.
When I first went to Baguio in 2006, the roads were not as good as they are now. Now it is
easy to reach Baguio in less than 4 hours from Manila. Just do it!
Google Maps: Baguio
Baguio is very mountainous which makes for some interesting architecture.

13). Paoay

Paoay is highly regarded as a historical town with the 300-year-old San

Augustin church standing as a reminder of the Spanish Colonial period.
This church is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the oldest churches in
the Philippines. The church is also part of the group of Baroque Churches of the
Philippines.
However, Paoay is also famous the Malacañang of the North, which was the summer home of
former president Ferdinand Marcos. This has now been converted into a museum and is well
worth a visit.
I wouldn’t make a special trip just to visit Paoay but if you are doing a road trip up
north, which I fully recommend, then it is well worth stopping off in Paoay.
