introduction (Introduction)

Vital signs are measures of various statistical physiologies, often taken by health professionals, in order
to assess the most basic bodily functions. Examination of vital signs consists of examination of pulse,
breathing, blood pressure, and temperature. This examination is an important part of assessing the
physiology of the body's system as a whole.

Main point 1 (Classification)

There are four standard vital signs in most medical settings:

1. Examination of body temperature

Body temperature is a balance between heat gained and heat lost. Standard value to know the normal
limit of human body temperature is divided into four, namely: Hypothermia, if the body temperature is
less than 36 ° C, Normal if the body temperature ranges from 36 - 37.5 ° C, Febris / pyrexia if the body
temperature is between 37.5 - 40 ° C, Hyperterm, if the body temperature is more than 40 ° C

2. Breathing

Respiratory examination is an examination performed to assess the process of taking oxygen and
removing carbon dioxide. Normal respiratory limits based on human age are as follows: infants (30-40x /
min), children (20-30 x / min), adults (16-20 x / min), elderly (14-16 x / min)

3. Blood pressure

Blood pressure is the power of pumping blood by the heart to push blood in the arteries to the entire
body. Normal blood pressure is certainly different from someone's age susceptibility, but in the health
system it is categorized as the age of infants, children and adults. normal blood pressure for adults
120/80, normal blood pressure for children 110/70 and normal blood pressure for infants 100/60.

4. Examination of pulse

Pulse is the pumping of the heart in the arteries. the normal value of an adult pulse is 60 - 100 times per
minute, for the normal value of a child's pulse, it is 50 - 90 times per minute, and for normal values the
measurement of the baby's pulse is 40 - 80 times per minute.

Main point 2 (Use)

There are several benefits in examining vital signs including the determination of normal baseline
values, identifying abnormalities that have been diagnosed or not

Conclusion

Health in our body is very important. Especially for vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, breathing,
body temperature, vital signs are a fast and efficient way to monitor client conditions or identify
problems and evaluate client responses to interventions.
