Let me have a quick walk and

say your names out loud.
• Right, here's a little picture with 7 sentences underneath. Each of you will get one copy and
then I'll ask you to read these sentences out loud for me. Once sentence for one person. Have
a quick look now.
• Now let's focus on those big, fat words. Do you know what they are?
• Those are prepositions of place – used to describe where something or someone is located

On the whiteboard

Write In (say to class, then ask everyone to repeat). So that's an apple in the box.
Write On (I say on, class says on too, drawing, an apple in the box
etc

Now it's the last exercise for today

We have a big picture and some sentences with the gaps. Our task is too look at the picture and
complete the sentences with the correct preposition from the list. I'll divide you into pairs and
discuss it with your partner and fill out the gaps.
