Abdul O. from Qatar lives in Poznań and intends to marry Anna W., a divorced citizen of Poland.

Abdul is
already married to a Qatari woman, who lives in her country of origin. However, the Quranic law in force
in Qatar allows polygamy. As a result, Abdul has met his obligation to submit to the registrar a document
confirming his capacity to get married under the law of his state of origin. What is more, Anna W. also
sees no problem in becoming the Qatari's second wife. Can the marriage be lawfully solemnized?
