PROFESSIONALISM

QUESTION:

How can you become more professional? How can you improve the work you
do in the office to improve your service to the public?

ANSWER:

For me, to become more professional, I will respect my co-workers and other
people around me because I do believe that being a professional can also be seen on
how we interact with each other and how we treat people. Also, I will refrain from
unethical acts like spreading rumours and gossips because it is unprofessional if we
engaged those kind of acts. Professionalism can be based also on the way you talk,
the way you dress and most of all how you handle yourself.

To improve the work I do in the office to improve my service to the public is, I
will manage my time properly so that I can finish my work ahead of time. In this way,
pending’s will be lesser. I will observe confidentiality in all transactions and documents
I’ll be dealing with and shall not disclose any information to the public. Following rules,
regulations and conduct also would make me more professional. Through this, the
interest of the public will be more considered in doing the job as described, and not
the interest of the few. I will also maintain a good social relationship with colleagues
and my superiors and not to oppose any of their rules and orders. I believe that my
main goal is to serve the public in our own special way.
