Narrative Report in
Field Study 5

February 12, 2019 I was assign at Olongapo City National High school for the observation on Field
Study 5, before we start the observation the principal of the school talk to us, regarding on the overall
flow of our observations that is going to do in the school promises. She gave us some instructions on
how we are going to observe a class and come up with a learning , she propose to us to have an index
card which serves as the record form of our observation with the signature of the cooperating teacher/s.
And with exchange to that record form at the end of our observations, if we are completed the episodes
they will give us a certificate of completion which we can use as an evident for the Field study 5. After
that Mrs. Evangeline Inocencio the coordinator of the school introduce us to the head teacher of our
subject specialization. For the Araling Panlipunan is Mrs. Mago the head for Social studies.

As a Social Science major student, I observe a class which the subject is Araling panlipunan. On that
day i observe first the Grade 9 STE –from 8:30-9:45 am in the morning, the teacher on that section is
Mrs. Emerald Mabini she is a very good “A.P” teacher, she allows the students to participate in a class
actively and proof that A.P class is not always boring. She relate the subject matter on the happening in
the real world and allows the student to discover and learn the topic. The class is a higher section so the
students was alive because of the good teacher handling them. After the class ends i ask a permission of
Mrs. Emerald Mabini to sign to our record form, nicely she accept it. After that i go to a next class the
class of Grade 9- 17 from 11:45am – 12:45 PM. On the class the teacher on that class is Mrs. Jemalyn
Bautista I observed some of the students are no so good in Social Studies, when the teacher asked them
to answer a social problem they are not come because they have no confidence to answer it. But there is
a one student that always answering. She is a girl Mrs. Bautista says to us that the girl is active in her
class she is good in critical issues problem in Philippines but in other subject is not. After the class ends
i ask a permission of Mrs. Bautista to sign to our record form, nicely she accept it. Next, after to Mrs.
Bautista, I observed the Grade 8- STEM from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the afternoon the class is a higher
section so the student was very participating in class. After the class ends i ask a permission of Ms.
Jemalyn to sign to our record form, nicely she accept it.
