4.4.5. INSTALLATION OF DUAL MASTER BLOCK

Support drawing SD-010309-44-50

1. Thoroughly clean ring groove on top of Compact Housing. Remove light scratches with
Scotch Brite.
Lightly oil ring groove and install a new ring gasket type CF-13 P/N 2162890-01-01.

2. Ensure preps for SRL seal in tubing hanger neck are clean and free from defects.
Ensure small holes at bottom of SRL preps are clean.

3. Install 24 off studs P/N 2055959-02 on top of compact housing. The turned down end of
the stud bottoms out in the drilled hole.

4. Examine SRL seal subs P/N 2114719-01-01, verify seals are clean and undamaged.
Lightly grease with good quality valve grease and install in tubing hanger seal pockets.

Nota: The 'SRL' Seal is an interference seal which fits in the Tubing Hanger bore and
Xmas Tree and requires load to fully install. The seal must be installed without any out
of vertical alignment. The Seal should be carefully installed with a block of wood laid
across the top of the seal sharps blows with a hammer or with the installation tool. The
seal will be fully installed during Xmas Tree installation.

5. Examine the Master Block P/N 162001-98-22-03. Check the following :

ƒ Seals are clean and undamaged.

ƒ SRL and CF prep. are clean and undamaged.
ƒ Bore is free of grease and dirt.

6. Remove plugs from ports marked 'TEST' and 'VENT' in the lower part of the master
block.

7. Lift master block and align bores with SRL seal subs on tubing hanger. Ensure master
block is as near vertical as possible and carefully land-off on top of compact housing,
taking care as master block slides over projecting hanger necks and also engages
projecting studs.

8. Make up flangelock connection. Tighten all studs and nuts in an alternating criss-cross
pattern. Recommended torque is 970 ft-lbs/1340 Nm.

9. Install a test pump to the port marked TEST N1 and test the CF and Grayloc #14
gaskets to 5000 PSI to determined holding time. Monitor for leak thru the port marked
VENT N2.

THE SRL SEAL IS UNIDIRECTIONAL METAL TO METAL SEAL.

METAL LIP CANNOT BE TESTED VIA AN EXTERNAL PORT.
PRESSURE TEST SHOULD NEVER BE APPLIED THROUGH THE VENT PORT.

10. Bleed test pressure, remove test pump. Reinstall plug on port TEST N1 only.

11. Ensure vent ports marked VENT N2, VENT N3, VENT N5 and VENT N6 have been
unplugged.

upper block slides over SRL seal subs and also engages projecting studs.

7. Make up connection. Tighten all nuts on 7.1/16" 5000 flange in an alternating cross
manner to the API recommended torque.

8. Install a test pump to the port marked TEST N3 in the lower part of the upper block and
test the RX gasket to 5000 PSI. Monitor for leak thru port marked VENT N7, VENT N8,
VENT N1 and VENT N2.

THE SRL SEAL IS UNIDIRECTIONAL METAL TO METAL SEAL.

METAL LIP CANNOT BE TESTED VIA AN EXTERNAL PORT.
PRESSURE TEST SHOULD NEVER BE APPLIED THROUGH THE VENT PORT.

4.5.1. INSTALLATION OF 9.5/8" EMERGENCY CASING HANGER

Support drawings SD-010309-45-10 and SD-010309-45-11

1. Centralize and cement 9.5/8" casing as per completion program.

2. When the well is in safe condition, drain BOP's by opening Compact Housing lower
outlets.

3. Thoroughly flush out and clean inside profile of Compact Housing.

4. Examine 9.5/8" Emergency Hanger P/N 2063130-01. Check the following:

ƒ Slip bowl outside is intact and undamaged.

ƒ Slip segments are fully screwed inside slip carrier.
ƒ The two shear pins are installed and are not protruding inside and outside.

5. Unbolt two halves of Emergency Slip & Bowl Assembly and wrap assembly around
casing. Use suitable handling rods as required. Bolt two halves back together.

6. Lower the assembly through BOP and land off on 45° shoulder into Compact Housing.

7. Pick-up casing and pull required tension.

8. Release slip segments by rotating handling rods 8 turns clockwise.

9. Release tension to set slips.

10. Pull on handling rods to break the shear pins, then retrieve slip carrier to surface.

11. Disconnect Fastlock connector and lift-up BOP's above Compact Housing.

12. Remove casing pup, then remove BOP's.

13. Make a rough cut on the casing above Compact Housing.

14. Using internal casing cutter, cut 9.5/8" casing at 864±3mm (34±0.12") from top face of
Compact Housing. Chamfer inside and outside of casing stub (about 6mm x 3mm).
WARNING: INSIDE PROFILE OF COMPACT HOUSING MUST BE PROTECTED
FROM CUTTINGS AND BURRS DURING THIS PHASE.

15. Thoroughly flush out, clean and grease 9.5/8" casing stub.

16. Connect 13" BOP's (see chapter 4.3.1).

and land on Casing Hanger.

10. Rotate Running Tool anti-clockwise to engage anti-rotation pins of Seal Assembly.

11. Slowly back out running tool the number of turns recorded at step 6 to allow the
snapring to expand into its groove in the Compact Housing.

12. To confirm expansion of snapring, an overpull of 20,000 lbs can be applied to the
running tool at this stage.

13. Pressure test Seal Assembly through 9/16" Autoclave dedicated test ports in Compact
