Specifies how the system is to round order proposal quantities to create deliverable units.
SAP menu - Advanced Planning and Optimization - Supply Network Planning – Environment -
Current Settings – Profiles - Define SNP Rounding Profiles
Purpose:
In this profile you specify how will adapt the units of measure to the transport units i.e. how the system will
recommend the transportation quantities. This profile is used in the TLB run. In the following case, the system
rounds all (values > 500) to 1000.Specifications are that if the requirement value exceeds 500 units, the
system rounds up to the next multiple of 1000. If the requirement value falls below 500, the system
uses the original requirement value.

Purpose:
The demand profile determines how Powertastic calculates demand. This profile will be used during the
SNP run. This profile determines, for example, how the system calculates the Sales Key figure.
The horizons in this profile enable Powertastic to define how the system calculates the total demand in
three different time horizons: short-term, mid-term, and long-term. Powertastic’s short term planning
has a time bucket of 5 days, its mid-term planning is 15 days and anything beyond this time is
considered long-term planning for the company.
Configure the demand profile to satisfy all Powertastic demand planning requirements mentioned
previously. To configure the demand profile:
Procedure:
1. Click in the SNP: Demand Profile radio button
2. Define the following demand profile name and select the create button and fill the below values.
3. Click on
4. Click on twice
3. Supply Profile
Purpose:
Specifies how the system calculates supply, that is, key figures such as production, and distribution
receipts.
T.Code: S_AP9_75000093
The supply profile enables Powertastic to define how the system will calculate supply. This profile will be
used during the SNP run.
Description:
The horizons in this profile enable Powertastic to define how the system calculates the total supply in
three different time horizons: short-term, mid-term, and long-term. Powertastic’s short term planning
has a time bucket of 5 days, its mid-term planning is 10 days and anything beyond this time is
considered long-term planning for the company
To determine the type of supply that Powertastic considered during their planning activities; the
planners grouped categories into category groups and assigned these categories to key figures.
Powertastic has a one-day fixed horizon in which new orders are not accepted or modified in the manufacturing
plants. Therefore during the fixed 1-day period, SNP should not plan production. In addition, Powertastic has a
1-day fixed policy in which the system should not plan shipments. All inventories available in a 10-day window
are made available for order replenishment.
Procedure:
Configure the supply profile to satisfy all Powertastic supply planning requirements mentioned
previously. To configure the supply profile:
3. Click on
4. Click on twice
4. Deployment Profile
Purpose:
Specifies the logic used by the system to distribute the available supply to the demand locations. You
define distribution rules in this profile.
T.Code: S_AP9_75000092
Due to the dynamic environment of Powertastic, if demand exceeds supply, the company has a policy to
distribute inventory proportionally to the requirements of each distribution centers. If supply exceeds
demand, Powertastic policy is to pull inventory to the distribution centers whenever demand appears.
The deployment profile will enable Powertastic to define the logic that is used by the system during the
deployment calculations. It will determine how distribution recommendations are made.
Procedure:

4. Click on twice
Key learning:
• The deployment profile is assigned to the product master in the SNP2 view
5. TLB Profile
Purpose:
You use this profile to determine within which parameter limits the Transport Load Builder (TLB) groups
shipments for a means of transport.
SAP menu - Advanced Planning and Optimization - Supply Network Planning – Environment - Current
Settings – Profiles - Define Transport Load Builder (TLB) Profiles
T.Code - /SAPAPO/TLBPRF
The TLB profile will enable Powertastic to define the parameters of your transportation resources for
use by the system during the TLB calculations.

Profiles Define Transport load builder (TLB) profiles
Procedure:
3. Click on
4. Click on twice
Key learning:
• The TLB profile is assigned to the transportation lane in the supply chain engineer
Purpose:
In this profile, you define minimum and maximum lot sizes for the shipment. You then specify this profile
for one specific product in the Product-Specific Means of Transport section of the transportation lane. You
can thus define minimum and maximum transportation lot sizes for specific products.
If you wish to make shipments in integer multiples of a transportation lot size only, you can also define the
transportation lot size as a rounding value in this profile.
T.Code: S_AP9_75000095
The TLB uses the transportation lane-dependent lot size profile to determine how to build transport loads
based on the available transport orders. This profile is also used by the SNP optimizer in conjunction
with the Discrete optimizing method.
Description:
The maximum lot size Powertastic wants the system to allow when transport loads are planned during
the SNP optimizer run and the Discrete optimizer method is 10,000 units. If planners decide to use the
discrete optimizer method during their planning activities, the system should round fraction quantities
required to the next integer.
