The candidate shall show a high ability and hands on experience and expertise in understanding
Technology costing principles and models; do scenario planning, build business cases and run
simulations and sensitivity analysis to assess the value and profitability of technology investments. The
candidate shall also demonstrate capabilities in inter-working with technology experts to capture the cost
structure and build the associated costing models and tools. The candidate will help transform
Technology infrastructure operation investment into additional sources of revenue and value creation by
improving service delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. As part of the team, candidate will
help design and implement the strategies and processes to address gaps in service delivery and service
management proficiency.

Main duties and responsibilities of the job


Key responsibilities includes but not limited to:
 Participates in the development and implementation of the Financial Planning & Control plans,
in line with the corporate objectives.
 Directs and manages the Infrastructure Financial Planning Section mandates, providing
leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
 Interprets and implements change in Infrastructure Financial Planning Section providing
guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.
 Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the
Infrastructure Financial Planning Section.
 Ensure providing support in the development of the financial overview of the Infrastructure
Sector.
 Review budgets and financial statements from other sectors in Infrastructure Sector
 Consolidate optimized individual budgets into Infrastructure Sector annual Budget
 Review and develop financial plans for the Infrastructure Sector units ensuring consistency and
avoiding overlaps and duplications
 Ensure all proposed strategic initiatives are supported by a sound Business Case in
collaboration with Business Architecture and Finance
 Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures
effective application of the STC performance management process.
 Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Infrastructure Financial Planning Section, in
line with the business and operational plans.
 Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going
feedback and coaching team members within the Infrastructure Financial Planning Section.
 Coordinate with Technology Budgets Integration and Control to ensure appropriate cost
accounting to relevant project budgets / codes
 Liaise with Infrastructure Sector to review and consolidate their Annual Operating Plans and
associated CAPEX and OPEX requirements
 Validate financial requests that come for budget request to EA for planned and in-flight projects
 Control, with the support of EA domain architects, the allocation of the Technology budget
across initiatives and projects in order to ensure consistency with the roadmaps and avoid
overlaps and duplications
 Define the performance KPIs for all major initiatives while also assessing achievement of
submitted business case post implementation
 Identify all deviations to the 3-years Infrastructure Sector Financial Plan and assign
responsibility for remediation to respective owners
