a range of purposes.

Learning Standards : 3.2.1 Able to transfer information with guidance to complete:

a) linear texts.

Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

a) describe the characteristics of the planet by reading the

passage.
b) List the characteristics of the planet by reading the text.

Vocabulary : terrestrial, primarily, reddish, tint, channels, plains, canyons,

erosions.

Moral Values : Cooperation, Mutual Respect

Teaching Aids : Powerpoint slides, picture of solar system and planet Mars,
sentence strips.
