Use pubic Wi-Fi securely
o Connect only to the legitimate Wi-Fi connection provided by the establishment you’re in. o Check if your computer’s firewall is enabled and configure it to disable file sharing and incoming traffic. o Check your antivirus program for updates, and install if they’re available. o Do not use public Wi-Fi to conduct sensitive transactions; conduct them only from your home or office networks. o Disconnect from a public Wi-Fi connection when you’re not using the Internet.
Communicate securely in public places
o Don’t communicate sensitive information when in a public places – either verbally or electronically. o Keep all sensitive documents out of view. o Store the devices you’re not using securely in a bag or in your pockets.
