LEB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR No: 09 (September 5, 2017) Subject: Observance of Law Day and Philippine National Law Week. Whereas, under Proclamation No. 1477, Series of 1975, the President has declared September 19 of every year as Law Day; Whereas, under Proclamation No. 640, Series of 1995, the President has declared the third week of September of every year as Philippine National Law Week, and all government agencies and offices were directed to extend full cooperation to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (I8P) in celebrating the Philippine National Law Week; Wherefore, in celebration and commemoration of Law Day and Philippine National Law Week, classes in all law schools shall be suspended on September 19, 2017 and for appropriate substitute activities to be conducted instead with the active participation of law students and law professors, such as academic symposia, public law lectures, and legal aid services.
