To Whom it may concern:

It is again my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Marley Dove, this time for the Musical
Theatre degree program. I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing and working with Marley now for
quite some years as a student in my voice and acting studio. I can speak with confidence about her
abilities and qualifications for your program. Marley was accepted and attended the first year in the
opera performance program at MSM, before realizing that opera was not going to be her passion and
career path. She has since been actively seeking the right program and staying very busy and
successful performing. Most recently, however, with your announcement of starting a new MT
program, she has voiced her excitement to hopefully return to MSM in this new degree program.

As a Juilliard School alumni, I am fully aware of the level of dedication, determination, and sheer
courage it takes to excel at a high level in the arts, and Marley demonstrated that in her short tenure at
your university last year, and is eager to return and continue her journey and education at your
outstanding school. I have been in the music business, both as an international Grammy Award
winning opera singer, as well as an actor on stage, and Film/TV, for over 33 years, and have worked
with the world's top conductors, musicians, singers, and actors, so I feel confident in the potential of
this young artist.

As I'm sure the classical professors of MSM will attest, that Marley is a joy to teach, and absorbs what
she is taught very quickly. She has a great sense of lyric interpretation and excels in the musical
theatre, folk and jazz styles. Her innate sense of musicianship and phrasing is solid, and I believe will
only grow and mature as he continues her studies.

Therefore, in conclusion, I hope that you will welcome Marley Dove back into MSM into your new
Musical Theatre degree program with open arms! I hold her in the highest esteem, and sincerely
recommend her to your program with absolute confidence. She has made me proud, as her teacher and
friend, and I am sure would continue to do so in your program and beyond.

Sincerely,
Elijah Chester
