 Print-out of online confirmation of appointment

 IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS
 Passport: all pages relating to personal information / expiry dates + entry stamps + visas,
 Current resident card OR long-stay Visa,
 Birth certificate including parentage or long form birth certificate,
 If you are married and/or have children: spouse’s ID card + marriage certificate + birth certificate
including parentage for each child,
 4 recent passport-sized photos: must be identical, uncut, clear contrast, with a full face, no
head coverings, and measure 3.5 x 4.5 cm.

 PROOF OF ADDRESS in your name and dated within the last 3 months
 If renting: lease or rent receipt or utility bill (electricity or gas or water or landline or internet),
 If staying in student residence or with CROUS: certificate from the manager of your residence
or certificate of residence from the CROUS,
 If staying at a high school boarding house: certificate of boarding from the high school,
 If staying at a residential hotel: certificate from the hotelier + invoice for the last month,
 If staying with a private individual: sworn statement dated and signed by the host
+ a copy of their ID card or residence permit + the host’s proof of address dated within
the last 3 months (electricity or gas or water or landline or internet bill or council tax or property tax
statement or house insurance policy).

 PROOF OF ENROLLMENT 2018/2019

 Enrollment certificate issued by the higher education institution or the general (baccalaureate)
or technical (vocational qualifications) secondary school, or professional training center.
 Distance learning or following classes as an unregistered student do not entitle
you to “Student” status
 Course certificate if you are enrolled in a private institution.

 PROOF OF ACADEMIC SUCCESS FOR THE YEAR 2017/2018

 Diploma or results transcripts for the academic year and certificate of attendance and attendance
at exams.
 If changing course: letter explaining the reasons why.
 If doing a doctorate: confirmation from your thesis supervisor specifying the provisional date
for your thesis defence.

 PROOF OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Monthly financial resources must be at least €615.
 Students without a scholarship: bank certificate (with totals in euros) showing regular transfers
or a sufficient credit balance, or 3 bank statements showing transfers, or bank certificate showing
an adequate credit balance of €6,150.
 Students financed by a third party: sworn statement of transfer of sums up to the required
amount + tax statement from previous year + 3 most recent pay slips in euros.
 Students holding a French Government scholarship, and beneficiaries of European
programs: proof of the scholarship, including the amount awarded, and its duration.
 Students with a scholarship from a third country: certificate from the awarding body
from the home country indicating the amount, and the duration of the scholarship.

 PROOF OF SOCIAL SECURITY
 Students over the age of 28: certificates of health insurance entitlements or private health
insurance or basic universal health coverage (except students with annual membership
with Régie de l'Assurance Maladie du Québec)

 “AU PAIR”
 If you are applying for a Residence Permit as an Au Pair: submit the employment contract
approved by the DIRECCTE (Labor Department) / Service de la Main d’Œuvre Etrangère
(Foreign Worker Service).
