Ethics refers to human conduct as to make sure between what is right and what is
wrong. It could be that there are several factors that may encourage one to adopt
unethical behaviour, but the right person is he who, despite facing ethical dilemmas,
assesses the situations and makes differentiation between what is morally good and
bad in order to follow the rules and code of professional conduct.
Furthermore, there's three best reason why professional ethics is a need. First,
Professional ethics will provide the useful function of identifying moral hazards and
providing the appropriate avoidance or work-around strategies. Second, most
professional are, at some point, young and inexperienced professionals. Thus
professional ethics represents a kind of collective, time-tested wisdom that is passed on
to new professionals. Thirdly, professional ethics act as a somewhat effective
countervailing power to organizational influence or the power of authority. Thus,
accountants have standard for reporting earnings and should not be swayed by a boss
you says, in effect, "make the number work" so that we hit our earnings estimate.
Finally, insofar as professional ethics often get promulgated by professional
organizations, they may play a role in enforcement and disciplinary action with respect
to those who violate such standards.
Regardless of profession or the field of work one belongs to, ethics is an necessary part
of work. The success or the expected results depend on how the workers deal with the
situations. Whether ethically or unethically. If they are dealt ethically, the chances are
positive for growth and development.
