1.- ENGINE FAILURE DURING TAKEOFF

a.- Adequate Runway Remaining:

Throttle CUT POWER INMEDIATELY

Brakes AS REQUERIDED

b.- Inadequate Runway Remaining:

Throttle IMMEDIATELY CLOSE

Mixture IDLE CUT – OFF

Master Switch OFF

Fuel Selector OFF

Magnetos Switches OFF

Mantenga control direccional y maniobre para evitar obstáculos.

2.- ENGINE FAILURE DURING NORMAL TAKEOFF (above 90 MPH)

Directional Control MAINTAIN

Power (Oper. Engine) MAXIMUM CONTINUOUS

Propeller Control (Inop E.) FATHER

Landing Gear RETRACT

Bank 5º en motor operativo


Airspeed Accelerate to 105 MPH

3.- ENGINE FAILURE DURING FLIGHT

VUELO EL AVION

Inoperative engine IDENTIFY

Operative engine ADJUSTED AS REQUIRED (MCO)

Airplane MAITAIN DIRECTION AND CONTROL

Antes de asegurar un motor inoperable:

Fuel Flow CHECK (if deficient – emergency fuel pump ON)

Fuel Quantity CHECK

Fuel Selector (inop Eng) Switch to other thank containing fuel

Oil pressure & temperature CHECK

Magnetos switches CHECK

Air Start ATTEMPT

Si el motor no arranca, entonces complete Engine Securing Procedure

Power (Oper. Eng) AS REQUIRED

Mixture (Oper. Eng) FULL RICH

Fuel Quantity (Oper. Eng) SUFFICIENT

Fuel Pump (Oper. Eng) CHECK

Trim ADJUSTED (5º bank into operative engine)

Electrical Load Decrease to minimum required


Aterrizar en el aeródromo más próximo

4.- ENGINE FIRE ON GROUND

Firewall Fuel Shutoff OFF

Emergency Fuel Pump OFF

Brakes AS REQUIRED

Throttle (affect engine) OPEN

Radios Call for assistance

Mixture (if fire persists) IDLE CUT-OFF

External fire extinguisher USE

Si el fuego continúa, apagar ambos motores y evacuar.

5.- ENGINE FIRE IN FLIGHT

Firewall Fuel Shutoff OFF

Mixture IDLE CUT-OFF

Throttle CLOSE

Engine Complete Engine Securing Procedures

If fire persist:

Airspeed Increase in attempt to blow out fire

Aterrizar en el aeropuerto más cercano.
