Together Forever?

I think something I could relate to with hatchet would be something that deals with stuff
most people struggle with. I think I could relate it to my family and friends. One
sentence that makes me think about my life is the Thanksgiving scene that Brian thinks
“It was the last thanksgiving they had as a family before his mother demanded a divorce
and his father moved out in the following january. Brian already knew the secret but did
not know it would cause them to break up and thought it might work out.”

This makes me think that things we think or normal might not be for others because for
my family we are together but for Brian it is a split family. I compared the whole book to
my life instead of just sections when I read it. For example, in the beginning I think that
I am weaker than him later on I realized that I am well fed and have shelter while he has
nothing. This is my comparison to Hatchet.
