Knowledge: Name our five senses.

Comprehension: Identify the five senses used by the human.

-Projector

Instructional Procedures:
Planned beginning:
-Tell the students that they will learn about their five senses.
-Start the lesson by showing a video about the five senses.
- Tell the students that we have five senses that help us to do many things.
Body:
-Mention the five senses (touch, smell, sight, hear, and taste).
-Display on the projector a face and call on students’ names randomly and ask them,
Using which body part I can see?
Using which body part I can hear?
Using which body part I can touch?
Using which body part I can smell?
Using which body part I can taste?
-Tell the students:
My sense of smell let me smell things like flowers and perfume.
My sense of sight let me see things in the environment like colors and people.
My sense of taste gives me information about the food I eat. For example, I can taste if the
food is tasty or spicy.
My sense of hearing let me hear sounds like people talking.
My skin allows me to feel things and learn about them. For example, I can feel if the ball is
hard or soft.
-Display on the projector a picture for the five senses and call on students’ names randomly
and ask them:
By which organ we can touch hot milk?
By which organ we can touch cold milk?
By which organ we can smell fruits?
By which organ we can see the sky?
By which organ we can hear the bell of the school?
-Ask students to open their books and to solve an exercise about matching statements with the
correct sense.
Closure:
-Ask each one of the students to come to the board and tell us about one thing they can do and
which one of the five senses did they use.
