Ihave worked with Bonnie since 2014 and have had the opportunity and pleasure to see her showcase a variety of skills that would make her an excellent choice for music education, Bonnie started at IMC in 2014 working on our sales floor. She was responsible for interacting. with a wide variety of customers discussing products. Her positive attitude and adaptable social skills allowed her to excel in this position. She was also responsible for handling cash/checks and other forms of payments. Her accuracy and trustworthy nature were never questioned. A large part of our business is renting instruments to beginning students and I've watched Bonnie have hundreds of these interaction and can say that this is something she is truly excellent at. Finding the appropriate instrument for a beginning musician, getting them all of the tools needed to be successful, all the while navigating on-going conversations with the parent/guardian about pricing and contractual responsibilities. Doing this aspect of her position required a general kindness and empathy with the younger student, paired with clear and confident direction with the adults. Bonnie is excellent at balancing this. After years of working in these positions, Bonnie left our sales floor to become one of our private teachers. She teachers a variety of string instruments (Violin/Viola/Cello) at our store. She has excellent communication with parents and store managing staff and students love her. We have watched her teach and coach musicians of all ages and seen nothing but success. Bonnie puts her all into everything she does; she cares and is eager to learn as well as confident in her knowledge. I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to work with her for the last 5 % years. You would be privileged to have a hard-working and bright individual like Bonnie Mitson as part of staff.
