The demographic study is about people. It defines the classification of the people which is done
on the basis of income, sex, caste, religion. They did this classification to know about the people
interested in purchasing the product. This will help to know the needs and satisfaction of the new
products which they want to develop. It will help them to know what is the taste of the products
their customers want. So due to this and depending on the wants of the customers, the products
will be produced. The market will also follow the trend only. That is the reason why this
classification is done.
Mostly the production company who is entering newly into the market will start the production
based on this. The advertising of the product is also done by this technique only. For example, if
they develop a homely product mainly it should be advertising the product in the places where
the women go mostly. Then only they will be able to know about the product and they can easily
make everyone know about the product. Once the people are aware of that product then they will
be able to socialize their product from the people talking only. It will help them in knowing about
more people and the customers to the product will also increase with this type of practice. So
demographic study of the market very important when a company want to develop a new product
or to launch any new thong into the market.
