was valued at over $2 billion as of 2018. In March 2019,
Uber acquired Careem for $3.1 Billion. As part of the
deal, Careem maintains an independent brand and
operates separately.
Uber is a convenient, inexpensive and safe taxi service.
Hire a private driver to pick you up & take you to your
destination with the tap of a button on any smartphone
device. ... For drivers - Uber provides exceptional pay,
allows you to be your own boss, and even receive tips.
Opportunities:
Customers are often dissatisfied with traditional cab
companies because of high prices and long waiting
time.
It can exploit new and big markets in countries like
India where taxi services are inconvenient and
expensive.
Can tap growing markets in suburban areas where
taxi services are not available.
Rise in number of Uber drivers will reduce the

liked. The startup will get more revenue and drivers
will be profited as well.
Uber can increase the valuation. This might appeal
