CE 197 – Final Exam – ACI - WOC

This is a final exam.

Submit individually on or before 5pm of Thursday, Dec 12 at the

ICE office. Place your class number on the upper right portion of
the first page your work. Make sure to have it stamped by Ms
Marissa.

Type and Print all your answers. DO NOT send by email.

1- Read the case: ACI-World Outreach Expansion Project

2- Understand the case from the point of view of:

a. Project management and its knowledge areas

b. Core processes in executing construction projects
c. Specialized architectural, civil engineering design and
construction
d. Management of non-profit design and construction
projects.
e. The 3 remaining major work items:
i. Bookstore/Café/Kitchen
ii. Lobby
iii. Sanctuary
f. Close Out Requirements

3- Create a project charter.

4- Create a scope statement.

5- List down the stakeholders in the case. Who is the most

influential stakeholder?

6- Identify the various activities of the project bearing in mind

the various major phases.

7- Create an OBS (Organizational Breakdown Structure) for

WOC

8- Create a WBS in graphical format with activity ID. (for the

3 major work items)
9- Create a WBS in text indent format with activity ID. (for
the 3 major work items)

10- List down the risks that Tom Grott might face. Suggest
ways on how he should mitigate these risks.

11- What did you learn from this case? Answer in less than 200
words.
