Dear Dr.

Druetta,

We are delighted to announce the organization of the 7th Lustrum of GTD Bernoulli.
Over the years, Bernoulli has strived hard to be a good connect between faculty,
students and industry. Success of Bernoulli would definitely not be possible without the
support of professors from Chemical engineering. (footnote: Thank you!)

In May of 2020, we plan to celebrate our 7th lustrum. you will be recieving a more
detailed email in the near future with the invitation. Since its a festival of 5 years, we will
also be compiling a lustrum book. We would be very happy if you could write a short
description (around 300 words) of how you feel about Bernoulli and add a nice picture
of yourself. Your contribution would directly go into our lustrum book, if you could email
us before the 31st of December, we would be very happy.

Thank you again for all the support over the years!

Best regards
Lustrum committee
Dear Lustrumcommissie, Dear Bernoullians,

First of all, let me thank you for this invitation to be part of the Lustrum Book 2020 and congratulate you
for the organization of this marvelous week, full of activities.

It is almost incredible to think that five years ago I was just a first-year PhD student, recently arrived to
Groningen, writing my first lines of a thesis which would be later used to hold beer glasses and level
computer screens, and preparing for what it would become the first Bernoulli TOP 30 ever and the
Lustrum 2015. Cliché or not, time indeed flies!

I was asked to write how I felt about Bernoulli in all these years and that made me look back and start
checking my infamous photo archive (relax, I am not intending to blackmail anyone with it). I am very
happy I could participate in many events during this time, and I think being a Bernoullian means to me
something I cannot summarize with one simple word or list. As a PhD student, Bernoulli was the place
where I could go and relax when my thesis drove me crazy; where I can share nice moments with friends
and students, and of course have some drinks in the meantime; a place from where coming back home
was really hard (especially after those drinks); but also a place where I learned a lot about the Dutch
culture and language, and shared a lot of things about my countries as well.

It is because of these (and many others) reasons that I am totally proud of being part of this association,
taking part of these celebrations and, more importantly, of calling myself a Bernoullian.

Once again, congratulations for the incredible celebrations you have organized and prepared for us!
Looking forward to the Lustrum!

Best,

Pablo
