There are lots of innovated products produced by many businesses but, one must stand out and it
is because of the quality and popularity that captures the interest of every customer. In our
generation which has a significant growth in technology adaptation we are timely exposed to
social media like posting different pictures with our foods, places we have been through and
especially quality time with our friends. According to Harrison (2002) photographs are an
important site for the embodiment of memory, as traces of working through a place for self in the
past and present. They are also means by which people in everyday life can narrate experience,
and this way can come to an understanding of what those experience mean. That's why we, the
Arti-mo business offers Instax film mini, wide and photo strips for the students of University of
the Assumption.

Need Identification

The ARTi-Mo Business proposed the Photographic Services which is a form of art by taking
pictures and serves as a memory in their life which was located at the front of Vista Mall
Pampanga. Taking photos or pictures was trendy nowadays; they tend to picture in their phones
and upload it to social media and/or print the picture and frame it up to their walls. There were
people who buy Polaroid cameras and buying films knowing that it would be hassle for them to
do that. That is why the company has given the endorsement that would fill this gap, and that is
the Photographic Service.

Company Background

Name

The name of the business is ARTI-MO. It captures Polaroid pictures with 2 sizes which is
mini and wide using instax. Also, it takes pictures with a format of photo strips. ARTi mo or
where the Art is capitalized, where it emphasize that pictures is also a form of art. Mo because
we can acquire that aesthetic kind of art with are imagination that we can show in a picture.
History

The inception of the idea about “ARTi-mo” started when a group of friends Zhamae Pangan,
Patricia Ramos, Annalie Pasion, Aron Paul Pangan, William Samson and Kayziel Sampang were
at a coffee shop having a conversation and keeping up with each other for a very long time. On
the other hand, Zhamae talked about how putting up a business is a trend right now, in fact she
already opened a clothing shop called “Zap Clothing”, she shared the advantages and
disadvantages of putting up a business. After Zhamae shared her experiences from opening a
business, they have decided to take pictures since it’s been months since they saw each other, this
will be serve as memories to them because even if they are far away from each other they still
remember their friendship because of those pictures, so Annalie came up of an idea that they
should make a business together. After a brief discussion, Zhamae Pangan, Patricia Ramos,
Annalie Pasion, Aron Paul Pangan, Kayziel Sampang and William Samson have decided to put
up a business, after hours of thinking they thought why not pictures? Let also others enjoy the
memories and be reminded how happy they were that day. They thought of a very aesthetic and
modern way to print them and it’s through Polaroid and photo strips. Patricia Ramos Started
making the business logo, Aron Pangan Started the business plans. The Ideas were staring to
improve until they came up with things you can reminisce whenever you see them. Months and
months have passed the business “Arti-Mo” has already started.

Logo
The backgrounds of the logo are the inspired shots that made the owner pursue photography business.
The cropped pictures are the sign of being expert in terms of editing that hooks the attention of every
customer. The name of the business was centered because of the willingness of the owners to become
one of the most popular in the said photography business. The font is written in pink color as it
represents compassion, caring and understanding. Since pink is a combination of red and white, both
add a little to its characteristics. The overall look of the logo such as the outline that separate the picture
from the name of the business and the picture itself was processed due to the high standards of the
owner and their attribute of being competitive business owners, these are the signs that proves the
creativity and innovativeness put together to produce an output that distinguishes them from any other
photography businesses. In addition the owners work hard for their logo and apply everything they know
just to be on top of every photography business.

Vision

The ARTi-mo envisions itself as one of the well-known photography business in the City of San
Fernando, Pampanga. It is consistently meeting the standards and expectations of the future
customers in printing photographs and taking classic Polaroid ictures.

Mission
The ARTi-Mo plans to express the gratitude of emotions to the community by creating pictures
that will preserve the most precious memories of a person using classic the Polaroid. It aspires to
promote and to stand with the use of modern technology in improving the our photography
business.

Location

The business will be located in front of Vista Mall Pampanga - MacArthur Highway, San
Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. ARTI-MO’s shop will range from 50-80 square meters in size.
It will be well-ventilated and will have a modern style to attract both adult and kids.

Products and Services

Nowadays, most people love to take pictures. The company fulfills the habit of each
customer of having pictures together with the people who are close to their hearts that serves as a
memory for them. The company offers various sizes of photos and bundles of choices where the
customers can choose from such as the Instax mini which has a 54 mm × 86 mm (2.1 in × 3.4 in)
film size and 46 mm x 62 mm (1.8 in x 2.4 in) image size. As for the Instax wide it has a film
size of 108 mm x 86 mm (4.3 in x 3.4 in) and 99 mm x 62 mm (3.9 in x 2.4 in) image size. As for
the photo strips, it is a vertical collage of photos. The ARTi-mo offer these Polaroid pictures at a
fair price wherein if you are availing this at different market, you will need to buy your own
instax camera and film just to have Polaroid pictures. But if you are only interested with getting
some Polaroid pictures our business offers one film or bundles at a reasonable price. As for photo
strip, which are only occasionally seen at photo booth events. ARTi mo also offers photo strips
that are instagramable and worth buying. These products are what made our business unique and
different from other photography businesses. For the prices, the Instax mini is ranging from 50-
60 PHP per piece, Instax wide for 70-80 PHP per piece. On the other hand the company also
offers bundle of Instax mini for 120 PHP and Instax wide for 120 PHP and lastly the photo strips
is ranging from 40-50 PHP. ARTI-MO has a facebook page so that the customers would be able
to get a softcopy of their photo strips.
In a world of smarthphones and snapchat it’s easy to foget that at the turn of 20th century,
“instantaneous” photography simply referred to the faster emulsion and shutter speeds that
allowed one to stop motion. Instax are also defined as instant photography as it instantly captures
memories in an instant. On the other photo strips are often seen in a photo booth of an event or
some arcade. ARTi-mo products are just reselling products for they will get supplier for the raw
materials that they will be using.

Marketing Plan
The ARTi-mo used the bundling pricing strategy to attract customers. Bundling pricing is
a pricing strategy that combined two or more product or services in one reduced price. The
Polaroid mini with one shot is ranging from the price of 50-60 pesos while the wide is 70-80
pesos. For the photo strips, it is 40-50 pesos; for our bundles, the bundle of Polaroid mini is
composed of 3 pcs film mini with only 120 pesos price while the Polaroid wide still 3pcs can be
availed in 190 pesos. The ARTi mo will use direct promotion and internet. We will distribute
stabs for each classroom for the prioritize customers and we will also post our business online.
The ARTi mo is located in front of Vista Mall Pampanga. It is accessible and convenient for the
target customers because he is just in front of a mall. We hired one person to operate for the
cameras and take pictures with our customers. We make sure that the employee has an expertise
in operating with cameras and can ask customers for his creative ideas for posing in front of the
camera. Since, we have our facebook account which is ARTi mo. We are also offering deliveries
for the hard copy of their pictures if they can’t avail it. But, the delivery will also have a
payment.

Industry Analysis

Arti-Mo Business and its competitors pool the same number of customer last year. The
Arti-Mo Business is in a rush to meet its target number of customer this year. We will make sure
that our product will stand out because of its quality and popularity that serve as the main
attraction of the product that meets customer satisfaction. The major competitors in this location
are all indirect competitors.
