SWE- Full Stack Engineer

Facebook is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure

Engineering team building large distributed components that run Facebook. Our code
serves millions of requests per second and it does so with sub-second latency and in a
fault tolerant manner. We handle everything from Facebook scale data storage, to
synchronization and coordination of large server clusters, to providing a runtime
environment for front end Facebook code. We're looking for candidates who share a
passion for tackling complexity and building platforms that can scale through multiple
orders of magnitude. This position is full-time and is based in our London engineering
office.

Responsibilities:

o Full stack web/mobile application development with a variety of languages

including but not limited to PHP, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
o Create consumer products and features using internal programming language
Hack
o Implement web or mobile interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
o Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and
build the next generation of products leveraging frameworks such as React &
React Native
o Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale back-end
services
o Build report interfaces and data feeds

Minimum Qualification:

o 6+ years of programming experience

o 6+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL
o 6+ years of experience with web technologies: JavaScript, XHTML, CSS

Preferred Qualification:

o BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry

experience)
o 6 plus years of experience as a Full-stack engineer (product)
o Experience with PHP and C++
