Dear Families,

Welcome to kindergarten! I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is
Mrs. Matthews and I will be your child’s teacher for this extremely exciting year of learning!
I’ve been in education for 11 years, but this will be my first year as a teacher and I am so
excited! I am a wife and mother of 3 and beside teaching I love to craft.

As we begin this new year, I am looking forward to partnering with you to make your
child’s year a great one. There are a few classroom expectations I want to make you aware of
so that we can work together on implementing them. My expectation is that all students will
come to school ready to listen with their ears, be safe by keeping hands to themselves as well as
