I.

OBJECTIVES
1.To secure cabinets and drawers.
2. To ensure that heavy objects are below head level.
II. INTRODUCTION
According to the terminology of UNISDR, disaster risk is defined as “the

potential loss of life, injury, or destroyed or damaged assets which could occur to a

system, society or a community in a specific period of time, determined probabilistically

as a function of hazard, exposure, and capacity”. In the technical sense, it is defined

through the combination of three terms: hazard, exposure and vulnerability.

It is said that “prevention is better than cure” which is true. This quotation is not

only applicable to health but also to different aspects where prevention is necessary and

to keep everything safe when disasters like earthquake, typhoon, fire or flood happen.

III. NARRATIVE

Brigada Eskwela took place on May 28, 2018- June 2, 2018 in preparation for

school year 2018-2019. Teachers, and different volunteers are very much busy in
cleaning the building and surrounding of Liliw Senior High School in Ibabang Taykin

Liliw, Laguna.

The Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers were the one assigned to

check the security of cabinets and drawers. They make sure that the cabinets and

drawers in every classroom were properly fixed and no heavy objects on top of it to

avoid from falling when disasters come.
