Good afternoon, everyone, today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite place in the world

what is Madrid. Madrid, originally called Mayrit, was founded by the emir Muhammad at the end
of the IX century. In the following centuries the city developed reaching its current aspect. The
Main Square was built under the auspice of John II on the 13th century. Then, the building of El
Pardo Palace. In consecuence, the city kept on growing in size, and finally in 1561 the Spanish
Court was transferred from its location in Toledo to Madrid.

Nowadays Madrid is a modern metropolis that offers a taste of the real Spain, For example: prado
museum, Royal Palace and Gardens, the main square and Puerta del Sol: The Heart of the City,
among others.

Finally, Madrid has a very interesting nightlife throughout the whole week and which is available
all year round. You can either go out for a tapa that is a Spanish snack, eat at a very nice
restaurant, go to the cinema or one of the many theatres, or find nearly any type of bar or disco.
