“Maria Makiling”

Introduction or Exposition
The exposition is found at the start stating the
family backround of Maria Makiling and how
their family treats the people and a short
description of Maria Makiling’s physical features
and bahaviour.
Complication
Complication arises as their friendship grows
which blossomed into love as time passed.
Climax
The climax of the story of Maria Makiling is
when she fell in love with a human. She secretly
hid their relationship with her parents. She is an
immortal and had so many differences from a
human. Her father was angry that his only
daughter fell in love with a human and her
mother was distressed. And as a result, she
couldn't meet the man she truly loved. Her
father decided that the gods couldn't live with
ordinary people.
Falling Action
The falling action starts when Maria's parents
took her enchantment away and was forbidden
to go the land of the mortals and forbidden to
see her love of her life, Gat Dula. Despite being
forbidden, Maria still showed her love by
praying to the gods for the safety of Gat Dula
during his fight with Lakan Bunto and asked for
his soul to be given to her when he died.
Resolution
The resolution starts where Maria’s wish was
granted when Gat Dula won the war between
him and Lakan Dulo and by the time Gat Dula
died, his soul was given to her for them to
continue their love in the heavens.
